Finally, time to sit down and update

First off I purchased the Puddymod block off plate for the air pump from S2Ki.
This is just to neaten up the engine bay furthermore for a small sum $$



Camshafts, springs and retainers install has been complete.
Finally found some time to do the install with the brother at home.
If it was just a camshaft change due to the F20c setup it would of only been a 30min job max 45mins but seeing as I wanted to do the springs and retainers whilst
the head still on the motor it was quite a long process. Fiddly but not overall that hard if you know what you are doing.

On the intake side of the F20C with removing the springs & retainers the tool we used (big thanks to BYP for lending it) it required to remove the inlet manifold slightly
to allow room for the tool, I took this chance to have my inlet manifold bored out to accommodate a 70mm throttle body for when I do eventually upgrade my throttle body.
At the same time I figured I'll put a P2R thermal gasket replacing the metal gasket. Did some research on these and they are suppose to keep intake temps more steady and not
being metal it does not conduct heat. Again, thanks to BYP for machining out my inlet manifold and supplying the thermal gasket.

Unfortunately no other photos were taken during the process simply due to dirty hands haha!

Results? Car still drives smoothly for a daily, the idle has remained the same no lumpyness (brian crower consultant said this can change once a tune is done which may have slightly lumpyness) Doesn't really bother me although a nice lumpy idle would of sounded nice but, Power and torque feels like it has increased between 4-6k and also after about 7500 to limiter. The deep roar before VTEC seems deeper and louder and the crossover is still ear piercing loud!
Will once again throw it on the dyno to see what gains were made.

Also a slight delay in update but a AFTER dyno was done once the headers and cat were installed (lost the fricken papers) but a stock exhaust vs full exhaust made EXACT same peak power but a low-mid range increase of 15-20kw and a gain of 20-25nm in torque!

I believe it's to lean out the air-fuel ratio on cold starts for emission purposes, just to get the catalytic converter to a good operating temperature. All in all it's a pretty useless pump.

Impressive that you did this work at home. I don't have the balls or skill to tackle swapping the retainers. Nice work!

Correct! Once you get an aftermarket ecu and tune the pump isn't even used anymore so dead weight

Another update today!
Finally got around to installing my AP2 tail lights!
To go with it was:
New OEM AP2 tail light gaskets
Spoonzauto Plug & Play wiring kit



Old tail lights removed


Now a fair bit of cutting was required which is inevitable. NO other way around it. So checked some DIY's for any tips then did it our selves but better
Here it is all cut out, primed and painted


And the final result.....??

Thanks man! We used a mixture of die grinder, dremel, and some hole saw thing thst i cant remember the name atm!
