new posts

So its been a while since my last update.
Im trying a few different things this year and starting up a group called SpeedRun. This will be dedicated to videos and photos of my build as well as my two closest mates.
However we also are looking to showcase friends with interesting builds and stories.
After my last dramas with my TPS just before my shakedown at SMSP we decided if we were to film all these events it could make for some interesting videos.

Starting off with more car problems

This build needs a title change.. because it isn't no 'base' DC5 anymore! Love it. Cant wait to see what this thing can do on track now.

If all goes well Tom, that is the plan.
Got a long road ahead to get the car and my driving prepared for WTAC.
If not im sure there will be other events i wil do this year

So I made a few changes to the setup after last SMSP trackday.
I wanted more grip so bigger tyres and wheels were on the list.

I ended up changing to RPf1's again, but in a wider spec than 4years ago.

Also I have sold the Injen and will be getting a custom fabricated 3' intake.

            Specs are:
            Rear 17x9+22 Advan AD08R 235/45
            Front 17x9.5+18 Advan AD08R 255/40

This has granted more grip and will give me a chance to make some more adjustments to the alignment.

            Christmas present, Safety first

Safety is a HUGE priority on my list this year and I am trying to make the hard decision to not rego the car again.
Its really playing on my mind but I probably drove the car 5 times on the street in 12months

To keep things sort and the current update Check out my feature video on SpeedRun

Once again I have been slack with the updates.

                Time to get serious.
I have been thinking long and hard about improvements for my next testing day.
Starting with some aero. They are a few things happening atm that I hope will be completed in time.

But I did get the courage to cut the rear bar

I also spaced the front bonnet to ensure the whole front of the car looks like it doesn't fit LOL
No, it will ensure that the air exits from the engine bay easier. This in addition to the spaced fenders will help.

There will be more updates coming soon.

Really digging the look. Just add some fender bolts and you'll have a rocket bunny dc5!
