Seems like you did better on the short track than the long track judging by the times. Looks like you'll be on target to break into the 1:40's if you keep up that formBYP Racing & Developments

Managed to get the pressures right so the car felt great and set a decent time. will just need some extra power in the future for the straights and exits. Need to start saving some money for that! Haha
Agreed with you mate, the short track was a shit load of fun and it does really show how well our cars keep up with the big boys!
Sadly no PB for either of us but probably on the next outting it'll happen!

Update
Hi guys, felt the need to make an update and get my motivation going again! Have been a bit slack with the car as of late due to being so busy with work and general laziness lol but i currently have a few weeks off due to swapping jobs so the car is getting some love!
For starters we have almost finished the roll cage after putting in the roof cross, the rear cross and both door crosses, we weren't going to bother with the passenger side but in case a second seat finds its way into the car down the track we thought it was a good idea, plus we had plenty of piping left over and it obviously looks more symmetrical this way. Now the only things left to do are gussets and a lick of paint! cant wait until its all done! here's what it currently looks like:
Here's the gussets ready to go in:
There is still heaps to do on the car as i have just realized after typing this lol these are the things that will hopefully get done before Honda Nationals in April:
1. Install HR shifter bushings and Mtech shifter springs
2. Install Oil cooler
3. Install Baffle plate
4. Install GPX Pro unit properly will all sensors hooked up
5. Install Hardrace Roll centre adjusters + PCI spherical bearings
6. Install front brake pads + braided lines. Going with the HAWK DTC-60 for the front and may upgrade the rear with some slightly more aggresive
7. Finish and paint roll cage
8. Strip some weight: Have air conditioner gas removed so the whole unit can be taken out, also looking into removing the sun roof and making a blanking plate
9. Re make the splitter with a different material as the ply wood is beginning to bow out of shape
10. Upgrade to semi slicks when the Z1's are worn out
11. Also considering upgrading the radiator and other cooling components to help keep temps down
One other thing i have been thinking a lot about lately is the suspension setup and i want to get some opinions. Currently running the Zeal Function X's with F:12 R:12 rates (standard unchanged rates from zeal), i'm not sure those rates are going to make the most out of an R compound tyre, being that i bought these while the car was still a daily, comfort was something that was taken into consideration, but now it's track only a more aggressive setup seems better suited. Not sure i want to pay for the whole lot to be re valved and have new springs put in as i know its very expensive, so selling them and putting in something like THIS is an idea i've had. What do you guys think? These GAB coilovers have had good reviews and this set has all the functions and features i want so it seems like quite a good option, i'm guessing the price is much more appealing too, compared to what i paid for the Zeals anyway lol
Thanks for reading guys!

You going to the Tampered day next week?
Would love to but I want to get a few more things done to the car before heading out again, hopefully I'll get at least two more days in before Honda nationals. Fingers crossed my entry was successful!!!

Man that roll cage is a piece of art, work by your dad is top!
About the coilovers ... I would definately not bother with re-valving and new springs, cost more than the thing itself in the end. GAB SS-R seems to get good results and reviews from them, cant complain with it because of the price! If not, do you know about the new Endless Zeal Super Functions (F14k, R20k) ? They are a track orientated coilover and will be perfect setup with R compound tyres. I just recently bought a set from UK and really cant wait to get them. Something to consider ...

Pity that you're selling the Zeals - I have a huge soft spot for them since my time with the V6 variant.
Just an option in case you decide to rethink about selling them: revalving + spring changes will total quite a bit, but I think it can be done for under 1K if you ship to the US instead of trying to get Centrax up here to do it (they'll require it be sent to Japan via EMS which is the killer). I had my fronts rebuilt in the US and the total cost including shipping back to me was significantly less than what Centrax were gonna have to charge.Official ClubITR Sponsor: www.autosphere.com.au - For all your maintenance, oils and track needs.

Coilover is only good as its user. Spending big bucks on coils and not knowing how to dial them in will be as good as having BC coils.BYP Racing & Developments
