yeh alex that exactly why i thought of Z1's remembering how great they looked on your gold advans. as you said i think 235/40 is a good size, my re001s have been good and have worn very well cosidering the driving they have gone through but the z1's are the next logical step forward.

for track id go 245 alex, 235 is better for part time track rims if its used for a daily as well. 245's have abit of stretch on a 9j rim so i wouldnt go any less.

as for my new z1 star specs, they put adrenalins to shame in every respect, noise levels, wet and dry traction and sidewall stiffness are all much improved. time will tell how well these wear..

255/40, 245/40 or 235/40 take your pick. I would go for the 255s because my car isn't that low and the 235 would give too much gap to the guard. 245/45 is too large in diameter, and 245/35 is only available in crappy tyres.

Well, wont really care about tire/guard gap as these tires are for my track rims.

My wheels of choice are R33 Skyline GTR rims; 17x9 +30 .. As opposed to my rota grids; 18*9.5+30 .. These track rims will sit inside of the guards by 6mm.

I'm not sure which size tire, if i should get 255/40/17 or 245/40/17 .. TOM?

Falken rt215 - good grip in dry once warm but takes a while to get warm. noisy and pretty bad in the wet.

Dunlop z1 star spec - quiet and good in wet..havent tested it out in the dry yet...
