Old turbo oil feed line got blocked resulting in an early retirement on the dyno. I bought a Garrett gtx3576r core and got the old turbo housings machined to fit.

Car is limited atm due to a possible bov leak. It made 238.5 kw atw (12psi) on msc's dyno which is a very low reading dyno for fwd cars. Just as a reference, my old n/a k24 made 140 on this dyno and 157 on another roller.

Steve tried to up the boost to about 15psi but the boost drops at around 7000rpm with the leak. We saw some mid range gains of about 20kw. Next step would be to get a stiffer spring for the tial q bov and an overal checkup.

Power band is surprisingly very linear.

Don't mind the Lsd clunking away.

                    Where could it be leaking?

                    Sounds tough.

Atleast it's drivable now ha. Now to just wire up a few things, put it back together and just enjoy it.

I'm thinking the spring in the bov is too soft. Wont know until I disassemble it to find what spring it is. Tial website says i need a pink spring for my map reading of -20.

So good to finally see this car driving after quite a long hiatus. Nice work man.

Congrats on finally getting it finished and running!! Dream build right there! I'm assuming you will have some traction issues even with boost by gear, do you plan to stick with 16" wheels or do you plan to go bigger?

Thank's Peter, Hopefully all goes well and I'll see you at nationals.

Cheers ryzz, For now no traction aid, I am just going to enjoy it as is and work around it with pedal modulation if i can rofl.

Once the boost problem is fixed, Will be getting a boost by gear setup along with the hondata traction control and of course upping the boost. Ideally low boost 8psi 210kw and a higher boost of 15psi for 270 mark.

I will be staying 16" with 225/45 ad08r for the streets and same size but a050 for track. I don't plan on getting serious at all to run 17 and 255+ tyres. Just a leisure car for me =]

If i had to build a track purpose car, it would be n/a + light chassis.

Well done! Awesome to see it driving. Sorry to hear about the other turbo! I have been using the boost by gear for a fue years and works well from 3rd gear and up. Waste gate Spring was a 5psi but it was at 7psi minimum boost.I have Hondata traction control in and wired up on my current rebuild. Once the car is run in and tuned I will start to play with it. Hope you enjoy the car after all the hard work!

Agreed! it's hard to do boost by gear low psi 1st and 2nd without a good turbo setup. Will get spikes etc.
