Finally got around to organizing a time to tow the car out to get a few things done at JVN garage.

Whats being done? quite a bit of things tbh. JDLautodesign made me a kit that didn't fit, by the looks of it they have made a kit to suit a dc5 and not a dc2. After countless emails to rectify the problem they decided to ignore me because why not? I live half way accross the globe and can't do much.

        things being fabricated -

        *intercooler pipings (hot + cold)
        *mount on intercooler
        *re adjust oil return line/fittings
        *down pipe
        *dump tube
*full straight through exhaust from catback

9am is always a good start! said no one ever... in freezing and wet conditions.

        hnggg.. them rc-s doe.

Arrived at Jvn Garage with a very friendly welcome by John. Talked to him for awhile explaining what I wanted done, he heard me out and also contributed in opinions that was of value. His ke70 though! what a beauty.

Will be leaving the car there for a week or 2, more than enough time for John to get the job done. See you soon my friend.

Check out Johns workshop sticker, pretty created if you asked me.

Talking about stickers, finally received my Alcaptures stickers. They look amazing in real life especially the silver and gold one.

Times are tough, Fabrication work, 2x Rego and mortgage blew a hole in my paper wallet Had to trade in some goldies and silvers to help my wonderful life out. (for anyone guessing, it's only $430 which is ballin out of control for me)

Quick update of my new planted tank not that anyone cares. But i dgaf.

I haven't check the design of it yet and was planning to just remove the washer or change to a different brace design.

The threads are used up pretty much 100%, the picture above was hand tightened and still had another half a turn.

I will definitely consider replacing the stud If I decide to run that tower brace.

                  Thanks tinkerbell!

its the massive amount of torque you will have that i am worried about - plus possibility of axle tramp.... it would be a few bucks to change the studs

I had a look at the design. I don't think the stud is removable. I guess I'll just run another brace or remove washer if that works.

I have it set up with good castor, no axle tramp on old setup. fingerscrossed.

Thanks for the heads up tinkerbell =D

                        Little update from JVN garage.

                        - Down pipe is done
                        - dumptube is done (screamer)
                        - cooler pipings in progress
                        - exhaust in progress

Just a picture of the hot side layout I decided to go with. Awesome fab work by John.

                        more soon.

The car is almost done, would have been done ages ago if it wasn't for a silly mistake I made.

Loaded up the car with a few things and off I went to JVN garage.

I didn't have the radiator mocked up nor did I have the splitter bracket, therefore unfortunately the cold side is being remade.

Watched John do some welding, he kindly taught me a few things or 2 on what setup he rans to do his welding etc. Most importantly for good clean welding is prep work on the material.

Everything coming together nicely this time.

Exhaust side of things are pretty much completed, down pipe and dump tube was modified from the original work that jdl did.

Full exhaust is made up of a 100 cell cat and 3'' piping all the way to a magnaflow muffler (centre/offset). Everything will be held together by v-bands.
