I've been holding off this update for a week already since I've been so busy with uni! Anyways, I got a heap of pictures with the new coilovers installed. It surprised me how comfortable they were, being a 14k & 20k spring rates ... I'd thought it would be stupid stiff and bumpy, but they are crazy comfortable and also crazy good balanced cornering! Though I still haven't properly aligned the coilovers, so I will try to get a full update once I go out to QR and Lakeside track days.

Here we have a heap of pictures detailing the coilovers close up ~

Here you can see the threads on the shock has been specially coated so it doesn't rust and it doesn't wear off either!

      20k rear shock!

The whole bottom piece of the rear shock is a CNC machined aluminium, one piece only unlike other manufactures have welded the bottom together. Also a polyurethane bushing for longlivety and rigidity.

30 step dampening adjustment on the rear shock, now comes with a bigger dial for ease of useability.

14k front shock! You can also see the plastic rings on the top and bottom of the springs, these are to stop vibrations and also make ride a little more comfortable.

All CNC machined camber top hats, you can really see how neat it is!

Again, specially coated threads on the front. Also a much thicker collar for the bottom to lock the shock in place.

ENDLESS The will to WIN! Made in Japan

Dampening dial is on the bottom of the shock for the fronts, unlike Tein and many other companies which are located on the top.

And here are some pictures of it mounted to the car.

I am still awaiting for my photoshoot but it was postponed due to weather conditions, hopefully this weekend will be nice a clear day. So I will try to get them photos up soon as possible, it's been like 2 years I've been waiting for this professional shoot to be done LOL! Been so lazy to get around to it ~ otherwise, I will have some more updates shortly with the Rigid Collars on the car and also the new sump and few other bits and pieces to be done like splitter brackets to be fabbed up in CAD and also battery relocation and possibly a CAD design of a roll cage

So just got my JDMyard Baffled Sump and Rigid Collars installed, quite stoked with how it all came together nicely. Now I can rest my mind knowing I won't blow the motor on the track due to not enough oil feeding through on the corners. The Rigid Collars were probably an added benefit, not like they are ment to make a big difference. It allows the subframe to align in place and keep it in place. Besides that ... I don't see much added benefit but that only ~ I got them at a good price so I'm not fussed. I was though fascinated by how much heat the sump takes, you can see on the old one has heaps of surface cracks ... nothing to worry but it does take some heat!

Besides that, there wont be much happening for a bit. Most of the track supporting mods are complete for now ... now just saving up for the supercharger. I am hoping to get some good lap times out at QR and Lakeside. Want to punch a 58sec at Lakeside and show them guys what a very much std DC5R can do.

Nice one champ. The stress cracks you see on the sump aren't from heat. Its just how they have shaped the metal thats caused slight cracks on the outside. New sumps have them too. Why the choice of supercharging and not turbo charging!

The cracks are actually on the inside of the sump ~

The reason why supercharge over turbo is pretty much the useable power! It's linear power curve unlike turbo. Also a much easier install compared to turbo, don't need to worry much about exhaust and heat issues I may possibly get with a turbo.

Superchargers still have their own heat issues, primarily stupidly high intake air temps.

Hence why I will be using a rather large 600x300 intercooler ~ I am going with a Rotrex centrifugal setup rather than a JR roots type.

Just recently had my photoshoot done over the weekend, it was finally done! Here are a few teaser shots until my mate is finished with the editing with all the photos then I will have all detailed shots up! Besides that, Japanese Nationals is on next weekend on the 24th at Queensland Raceways ... will be competing with many of the big guns from WTAC (just to name a few, Mighty Mouse CRX and Hairy Lemon Evo). Just pretty much prepping for then and hoping for the best result!

Just the past weekend, the 24th Saturday was Japanese Nationals at Queensland Raceway. It was my very first time out on the QR track for time attack as I've ever only been on it for happy lap days. The day was delayed by 30mins at the start due to great amount of fog in the morning, but was quickly caught up back to schedule with rocket start and finish time between sessions. On the day Clubman track was used and we got 5 sessions for each group (ABCD). Overall, my best time of the day was 61.6 and being the first time out without damaging anything was really good. Oh and I also came 2nd Place in NA Performance Class (1st Place was MCA Suspension Z34 which was not a match for me yet). I had alot of room for improvement as my race line was a little sloppy in specific areas but hopefully the next day out, I should be able to get 60's and possibly sneak into 59's for Clubman.

I will link to a few videos that were captured on the day and some photos of the car, will have more personal photos when they are done being edited!

Turn the volume to maxxx, to hear that loud 70RR haha!

Huge thanks to LC Photography for the captures!

I will get some more up at the end of the week with the other guys like Rob (101 CRX) and Bobby (S2000).
