I think it's time this thread is updated haha. But, where to begin...!? Hopefully it's not too long, excuse me if it is though, haha.
Okay, a few weeks ago, I decided to begin modding it slowly so that it wouldn't all be crammed. I wanted to start off with the Injen CAI, so I called up some of the boys: Fahad, Shak and Danny. It was on a Sunday night I believe and we all had the mentality that we'd tackle this mod within an hour or so. And wow, we we're wrong! Haha.
We started off by taking off the stock airbox, which was a breeze thanks to Fahad's expertise.
Next up was the front bar
This was by FAR the hardest part of the evening, the front bar refused to come off as it still had ALL the oem clips since new. We realised this would be the first time that this front bar has ever been taken off. After at least an hour of trying to remove the front bar, the driver side managed to come off but the passenger side would not. So we figured we wouldn't waste another hour to remove the passenger side and just tilted the bar over to the side like so: (notice where Shak is sitting, the bar is behind him lol!)
After the bar was off, the only complication we ran into was pretty much the piping and fitting it properly. After we figured it out, the bar was ready to be put back on. (well half of it anyway..). That same night, Shak had bought some stuff of mine which were at his house, this included the beatrush number plate relocator which I had purchased from Hau and also a cars for hope windshield sticker!
All done! We celebrated with a snackpack each, I don't have any photos of them cause we were hungry LOL
A few more bits and pieces started arriving at my door:
As you know, I had a set of Buddyclub N+ which had missing rubber bushes, I decided to put them for sale (with the bushes on their way) as I was impatient and also felt like I'd be safer if I purchased coilovers with camber tops. I ended up selling the Buddyclub N+ and buying BC BR coilovers. I rung up JustJap on the morning and they told me that they only had one set left, I immediately drove up there to get them as I couldn't wait any longer :P also, it was a pretty good drive! Amazing views
Next up, I needed guard rolling. So I asked Fahad and Tony where they got theirs done, and they both referred me to the same guy (John)! Which meant he was pretty good! If anyone needs their guards rolled, I highly recommend John! 45$ a corner and super nice guy!
After the guards were rolled, I was one step closer to be able to run my CE28N's! The Ingall's front camber bolts arrived at my door and then that night I went to pick up my set of Todd's tie rods from Shak's.
That Friday, I went down to "WOOT Mechanicals" at Lansvale to get them installed! I initially was going to go to Top One but since I was in a rush, I decided to go to Lansvale which is closer to my house! He (Kim) did an excellent job and is also a nice guy! If anyone needs anything done, I recommend you go down to him, he'll look after ya!

On Sunday that same week, I called up the boys (Fahad, Tony, Shak, Danny, Nathan) if they could help me install (well install for me, I'm pretty useless :P) my coilovers and rear camber kit. As you guys know, these fellas are experienced and always keen for a DIY day. That morning I went to pick up my wheels at my uncle's (hiding them from my rents hahaha) and went to Shak's crib!
Shak drove the car into the workshop and it was time to start!
All the boys rocked up!
Photo dump
Fahad and Nathan working the front!
Getting to the rears..
Weird paint on my rear shocks haha
Managed to finish the rears LOL
The fronts were causing us a bit of trouble, especially loosening the camber bolts, after we broke a couple of socket heads we realised that we were tightening it rather than loosening hahaha!
Nathan showing us some swag! :P
We managed to finish it off, whilst trying to keep the alignment decent and also the toe. Shak reversed it out of the workshop and took it for a lap and it was all good!
The amount of rear camber is too damn high!
Job well done! Celebrated by cruising to Hawa's Charcoal Chicken at Granville.
Finally.... alignment, camber/toe adjustment at HPR tyre factory and getting the car lowered back at WOOT.

Thanks for reading! I apologize about the long update, If anyone wants contact numbers of the places I went to (HPR tyres, WOOT mechanicals and John the guard roller), let me know and I'll be happy to forward you the details! These guys were amazing and also big thank you to the boys; Nathan, Shak, Danny, Tony and Fahad! Wouldn't be here without ya'll help and guidance!
Till the next mod... Peace out CITR.

Very nice update Andy. The team at SYP (side yard performance) have been a part of this cars development since day one. It really makes me proud to see how far this car has come in such a short period of time!
We aren't that experienced but we are always willing to have a go at the expense of your car
I'm sure this car will rival the other silver DC5R some silly Phillip guy used to own
