Lol, don't worry about hydrolock mate.. unless you submerge into a deep puddle, you'll be fine.
+1 I have driven my DC5R with Injen CAI through some crazy sydney storms and rain and i've been fine. I even went through some massive puddles un-knowingly and was fine. (keep in mind the filter is probably 10cms off the floor including splash guard) keep the revs down and obviously don't go through massive puddles and your fine!

Hey bro, I got them from a friend of mine when he had them on his DC5R. Unfortunately he can't remember where he got them from as it was about 3 odd years ago. Maybe I'm the only one who has a set? Who knows.
Okay, so a few things have happened in the last few weeks.. some good and some bad :P.
As you guys know, I've recently purchased a set of coilovers; BuddyClub N+. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to get my mechanic to put them on along with the servicing of my car.
After the oil change was complete, my mechanic was about to put on my coilovers, he noticed that the top hats were missing the rubber bush. I was quite confused when he told me this as the coilovers are practically new, so he decided to test fit them and show me what he meant.
side by side with OEM. What a difference!
test fit:
how it turned out:
As you can see from the picture above, it was really noticeable and without the rubber bush the coilover would be moving around whilst driving. So at this point I was pretty confused, pissed off and panicing.. I decided to ask more knowledgeable people if they were familiar with this situation. Talking to Fahad, Shak, Nathan, Tony and Hau they referred me to Phil who also runs N+ and he sent me a picture of how it's meant to look:
Thanks for the help guys! Anyway.. I called up the guy who sold me the coils and he said to me that he had no clue lol. So I rung JDMyard and they said that they'd check their stock to see if they had any available. They replied that they only had ONE.. just my luck! :/. So JDMyard said that they'd order me some from overseas and that it'd take a couple weeks to arrive. At this point I'd decided to list up my N+ without the rubber bush to see if there was any interest... but as I thought, there wasn't much interest haha! I'm still torn whether to keep them or sell them (even when the rubber bush arrives) because I feel like I've already had bad luck with these coils that it'd be better for me to move on. Also Shak alerted me that the N+ would struggle to run 17x9+22 wheels which I had wanted.
We'll see how I go.. Okay well that's the bad news out of the way, now for some good ones. A few packages arrived at my door step these past few days
Hard race rear camber kit and also my Injen washer bottle that Obed sent me. Thanks Obed!
I also received a letter from the RTA that my plates had arrived. I don't know if I've posted on the thread about this but I decided against going custom plates as I couldn't think of any ideas that were worth paying 99$ a year for and the existing yellow plates were driving me insane. So 160$ later and my plates were at Liverpool RTA. They're white background with red writing.

In with the new:

What a difference some new plates make! Very pleased. Now I've just gotta pick up the Beatrush number plate re-locator from Shak's house :P
Now best for last... As I've mentioned in my earlier post, a couple weeks ago I was lurking through JDMST forum and stumbled on a gorgeous set of wheels! Short of money at the time, I decided to PM the seller to see if I could put a deposit and pay in full after my tax return money had returned lol. It was worth a shot... Fortunately he agreed and saved the wheels for me till the weekend so I could come look at the wheels and leave a deposit. I called up my good buddy Fahad and we drove up to Blacktown to check them out. I was blown away! They were amazing and without hesitation I put a deposit down. Two long long weeks later my tax money finally came in and it was time for me to bring them home. This time I went with Tony as I couldn't take Fahad as we probably wouldn't make it back in time for him to eat since he's fasting. Sorry bro!
Here they are: 17x9 +22 Rays Volk CE28N in diamond black wrapped in Falken 235/40/17 tyres.
Inspection day with Fahad:
Bringing them home finally! With Tony:
I hope to get them on soon, as a few more parts are on the way. I'm currently waiting for... Todd's tie rods, Ingalls front camber bolts, Beatrush number plate re-locator, Muteki Lugs and also getting my guards rolled! And ofcourse those rubber bushes to get my coilovers on.. ... But oh well, patience is money!
To all above that I've mentioned, thank you guys for the advice and company that you've given me! I'm a very happy man to say the least!
My friend had the exact same rims before! But he had KU31s wrapped around them 225/45/17... Anyway.. they're awesome specs and you should be happy with the stance. ;D
