Good observations, unfortunately Gruppe M's scoop dosn't allow the hood to fit perfectly. Guess it wasn't designed in mind to have the scoop at the scuttle panel.

you can shave the bottom of the scoop where the bottom part meets the glass, that will help it sit further down, nothing else i can think of that could be in the way and make the bottom part stick up, everyone else has no issues with the fitment =\ give that a try, if not then i guess its just you =[

Got it from a seller in Melbourne. I believe his ebay account is "te37".
