I think this thread deserves an update (pic heavy)
Well it has been a while since i actually updated this thread, reason being that i had end of semester exams that I has to focus on and also had no chance to take any nice pics of my car because of this horrible rainy weather in Sydney.
So firstly, I decided i wanted to flush my power steering fluid as it was really dirty and thought it could do with fresh fluid. I did this ghetto DIY style at home using a coke bottle, a Syphon i purchased from bunnings and the p/s fluid. Here are some pics:
Because there are more police patrols in sydney cracking down on modified vehicles, it was time for me to finally get a catalytic converter installed. I got this done from a local exhaust shop with a 100 cel high flow cat welded onto my headers. Not sure if placebo affect but i felt the car feel more torquey with alot more torque steer, i like torque.
It was time for me to change my stock Type S wheels to something that was more aggressive, the type s wheels were awesome but they tucked in too much which made my car look as if it was levitating at times hahah . So, I ended up putting them for sale and within a week i had a buyer in Melbourne who paid the wheels off in instalments and they were gone.
While the Wheels were up for sale I knew that i was going to get wheels that had an offset lower that +25 so i knew my guards needed to be rolled and needed rear camber arms to increase the camber on the rear.
So firstly i got my guards rolled by John the guard roller:
Then it was time for some rear camber arms. I bought a pair of hard race rear camber arms from Stephen_aus, thanks shak for helping me install these:
stock rear camber arms:
All installed
After having all that done I had my heart set on buying some Enkie RPF1's in 17 x 9 + 22, so the search began...........nek minnit
I got a text from some one who read my WTB thread on JDMST and texted me that he had the wheels in the specs i wanted, so the next day i went and picked them up The wheels had tyre on them but they were 215/45/17, stretched and were cheap so I replaced them with some fresh Kumho KU36's in 225/45/17, Oh yea i forgot to mention that I got Rays aluminium wheels nuts with lock nut too
So right now, I currently have -2.5 degrees camber on the rear and only -1.2 degrees on the front with all round 0 toe. I currently have ordered Todds modified Tie rods and a set of camber bolts which will help me get -2.5 degrees at the front keeping 0 toe all round. Once i get the camber settings that i want, I will then lower my car 15mm at the front.
Here are some pics I just took today because its a nice day
So that's it for now,
