Hello and welcome to another update.........
My car needed to be lowered ASAP from the front as I couldn't tolerate that hideous wheel gap at the front haha! I had ordered my todds modified tie rods from the States (ty Uccy) and bought a pair of ingalls camber bolts from shak! I delayed getting them installed cause I was busy with gay Uni assignments and work unfortunately. At the same time, Andy (Mcdognalds) who had already had his modified tie rods and camber bolts installed recommended me to go to WOOT mechanical in Lansvale. So, I called up and had my car booked in and luckily they could fit me in that day! +1 for Woot Mechanical.
Had the Modified tie rods and camber bolts installed and got an alignment that same day at JAX Liverpool. Currently running -2.5 degree camber all round and 0 toe. Took the car through RNP with a few mates and was so surprised at how planted the car felt!
I had been receiving all these messages on Fb/phone from people I know saying "Hey bro i seen you driving, looks nice", or "bro give it a hit" on my phone and I would be like wait a sec, i was never driving? I realised that there were TOO many blue dc5r's in the south-west running silver RPF'1s so this had to change. Before I got my RPF'1s i had my heart set on purchasing a black set but they never popped up
A week later i decided to Plasti-dip my wheels black! Purchased 4 cans from some bloke in strathfield and with the help of my good friends Tony, Shak and Andy I had them looking like this:
Preparation is key haha
During the process (they looked pretty cool here)
And the final product
Over this weekend I had some spare time on my hands, got around to claying my whole car and applying Meguiar's Nxtgen wax to it, and oh my! It was silky smooth and shining bright like a diamond!!
And finally one last pic at the recent ClubITR meet thankyou to Felix
So that is about it for now, I'm looking into doing a brake upgrade for my car, I don't want to change my calipers but I'd like to buy pads and rotors that will be sufficient enough for the track. Any comments or advise in terms of a brake upgrade would be awesome!!!!!
Till nek time......
