Hi Guys
after cooking my stock brakes from the last track day i eventually got new brakes. i have just installed
- project mu rotors FRONT
- Ferodos DS2500 FRONT
- goodridge braided lines FRONT and REAR
- ap racing 5.1 brake fluid
my mechanic bedded the brakes in and my first reaction to the new brakes was the very VERY soft pedal feel... i use to only have to push 1/4 of the way in for the brakes to start working and i can still the pressure starting to push back. now i have to push 3/4 of the way in and only then does the car start to stop and i feel the pressure pushing back...
at first we thought maybe there was still air in the system so we bleeded all four brakes and we could see that there were NO air bubbles coming out...
we tested the car again and it was only marginally better (placebo maybe?)
whats wrong? or what have we done wrong? i mean the car does stop alot better but i really have to push all the way down before anything starts to happen, it does not give me confidence when driving and i cant even heel and toe anymore because the brake is soooooo far down past the accelerator that i can't even roll or lift my heel up onto it. it just gets caught on the side of the accelerator
does anyone know if these are characteristics of these parts? or is something wrong...
i am getting new rear rotors and DS2500 soon along with a brake cyclinder brace...will this make things even worst?
im quite worried and i miss that responsive brake feel on stock brakes
any input is much appreciated!
