sorry about the confusion... but with the soft spongy brakes i thought it was the same thing...i mean you step on the pedal and the cars slows down but i really have to push it down for it to happen...the more you push on the pedal the further down it goes and seems to touch the floor...

as for pumping or sucking the fluids out i have absolutely no idea, i'll ask them if i remember when they call me back later this afternoon

she's back and the problems been fixed! but the brakes are not exactly like they use to be...mostly likely due to the parts i put in, just like ewendc2r said just a bit more pedal action.

btw does anyone know the boiling point for the genuine honda dot 4 brake fluids?
also do DS2500 bite even more as they warm up? (i might just be expecting a little too much from them)

            thanks again all!

yes, but they NEED to be properly BROKEN IN PER INSTRUCTIONS, otherwise they are junked...

hi tinkerbell what do you mean junked?

they have supposely been broken in 25-30 times at half pedal for 4 secs...but everyone's idea of 4 secs and half pedal will vary slightly...if i keep driving like normal they will eventually wear in even more correct?

yes, that is an OK way to break them in... so should be good!

but if this is not done properly, then they will be "junked" i.e. useless...

                    thanks Tinkerbell

yeah had a new MC installed, now when i jab on the brakes i pull up straight away (slow speeds) i am new to these pads so it will take some time to get to know them a bit more. my drive to work is like 5 mins so i really do not get a chance to warm them up.

                    thanks again!

they should warm up after 2-3 applications...

if not, they may be glazed...

                              Brake Problems after Goodridge install

Even though the OP have sorted the problem, but I just had the same problem with him today after installing my braided brake lines. May be of a help for other ppl who are having the same problem.

Pedal just felt spongy and when you brake, the pedal just kept on going until the end when you brake.

Anyhow, I went to bleed all the brakes again just by opening the nipple and pump 3-4 times and close the nipple. Went for a drive, and the problem still there.

Did another bleed, this time but I did something dfferent with the bleed. I pump the brake pedal 3-4 times whilst the nipple is closed, then open it up while the pedal is down, brake fluid comes out, and close the nipple. Went for a drive, felt a bit better but problem still there.

So, I did another bleed, same method as above and finally! Brake feels fine.

After 4 bleeds, problem sorted, and you get a nice toned right leg.
