    [dc5r] Defi

    hey, does anyone if defi made the gauges hood for the dc5r? because i don't seem to find it on their website, can only find the wrx and evo one. if u know they have one, could you link me to it?

    yes they do, but i don't think it's in production any more.

        Thanks~! great help!! also does nengun sell genuine product because their price seems to be heaps cheap compare others?

        has anyone got it? just wanna know how it is attached to center console?

          Yes, Nengun sells all genuine parts.

          I recommend you just use double sided tape to attach it on.

          P.S. Yes i also think Yonas @ JDM Yard has a set for sale as well.

                im new to this whole thing of getting parts from japan
                so if i order parts from them how does the tax thing work coz it gets delivered to me so how would i have to pay the tax if i get caught?

                  Got my oil temp pressure, water temp fitted today.
                  what warning should i be setting these? it is a stock dc5R

                      what about oil press and oil temp? 2.2 is too high for warning? cos it's about 1.5 when you stop at lights.

                        oil temp = 120
                        oil press = 1.3ish
                        water temp = 105

                        that's what I do..
                        My water temp would often sit just above 100degrees in heavy traffic so I did 105degree..

                          i tried these setting on wakefield on sat, quite good =) the water temp is never a problem, just sit around 90 when tracking which is perfect no need to worry. However the oil temp moves a bit more. reaches 120c in about 3 hot laps, and then i takes 1 lap to cool down to 100, so it's quite fast.

                            That's not too bad. Pre oil cooler, mine would get close to 130'C after 4 or 5 laps. An oil cooler will see reductions of around 20-25'C which means you can go harder longer.

                              that's heaps!!! 20-25'C. but wouldn't fitting a oil cooler reduces the oil pressure at the same time? what needs to be done to increase the pressure? after my track day, i've been thinking about Trust, Oil Cooler. comments??
