nice one norm, i cant wait to get your review on that toda flywheel.
3.9kg? or 4kg somewhere around that mark?

also, how you gonna route the catch can? i read discussion on k20a.org
that you should use baffled catch can like moroso (1inlet, 1 outlet) and not using breather.

pcv --> (inlet) catch can (outlet) --> IM. seems like vapor from block is the one that has plenty of oil and fumes. where as vapor from valve cover is insignificant?

Its going to be difficult to give you a review on the flywheel alone as I will be installing it with the 5.1 FD as well. Also its an exedy lightened flywheel 4.1kg, the Toda one i believe is 3.9kg. I'll let you know about the catch can setup once i sort out my cars idle.

I still can sort it out. Its idling abit better than before, but every now and then it likes to just hunt.

I have made that bore bigger, but i seriously think its something else. Its either the IACV (Needs to be fully stripped apart and cleaned) or its a tuning issue which I have no idea whats going on. Worst case scenario i'd delete the IACV and just alter the TPS to let air in. I really dont want to spend like 700 dollars on a spoon tb and an adaptor after that.

i was more after the driving feel using light flywheel. were you able to spin the iacv smoothly?

Oh ok. I'll write a review once i get it in.

Ok. At this point i'm pretty fustrated. I've taken off the throttle body components 4-5 times and put them back all together each time now. And the idle is still hunting, or just maintaining high after i tap the throttle. The throttle plate isn't stuck, and also when the car is idling it will just start surging out of no reason.

I have taken apart the IACV electronic part, well I should give credit to autopro for taking it out. Not sure how they did it but they did. Cleaning + lubricated it and it spins freely. At this stage i'm out of options, but to just wait for the tune on the 24th then find a solution after.

Here are the pics in the mean time, and also that 5 star security screw.

have you researched this problem or looked for a solution on clubrsx mate?
im sure i have read about guys that have had similar problems with the skunk2 manifold and the only way to sort it was a kpro and a tune,
someone please correct me if i'm wrong,
thats why my skunk2 manifold and tb are sitting in the shed and not bolted up, gunna wait for a kpro and a tune to try and avoid any issues like your having

I bought the 3in1 oil lube.

gunspoons - I'm gonna do abit more research. In the meantime I'm going to bring the car over to a lukis01 house to see whether an extra pair of eyes can spot anything unusual.

Note - If i cover the whole entire throttle opening with my palm, the car engine dies. This means that there is no vacuum leak. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Ok. The problem itself seems to be with the throttle body, and butterfly plate. Everything else is in working condition and there are no vacuum leaks. Its just the butterfly plate is sticky, and doesn't close properly, and also the actual cable throttle connection part seems to be causing the slight raised idle. Ordering a new spoon 70mm throttle body and karcepts adapator. Should sort out the problem.

Just put through an order for 62a hasport billet mounts. There is just too much engine movement after the RRC installation.
