Thought i'd start a thread on my track car build.
I originally planned on using my 1997 EK Civic Cxi for my track car build, however after much consideration I decided to switch platform to an Integra DC2. The opportunity came up to make the switch when I stumbled into Marc's BADHBT DC2 Rolling Shell being for sale. After a few phone calls and inspection, we were shaking hands and agreed to make the deal a few weeks later as I had to sell my Civic. Marc being the great guy that he was, he was very accommodating and very helpful. A few weeks have passed and the car was towed to my mechanics.
The dc2 platform was well taken care of and the history was well documented here in the forum. The selling point for me was that it is has had a K series engine in the past, meaning the Hasport engine mounts and shifter cables came with the sale. Also, the car was equipped with a full 6 point roll cage plus a crucifix which would be perfect for the track. Other bonuses with the car was that it was freshly painted in Orange, not my colour of choice but its growing on me; Type R front end conversion with HID Headlights, Type R interior and a Spoon Carbon Fibre Bonnet.
Here are some pics of the car courtesy of Marcs for sale post.
Stay tuned more to follow...
