                    ^ Why not Jimmy?

Plenty of gains for a dry sump.

It will definitely sort out the sump clearance issues, some people have mangled their sump at the circuit after spinning out, I think after having gone through an engine already he isn't quite prepared to risk having another one go.

The only thing I don't like about that sump is that it's cast and the scavenge setup is using rubber lines rather than AN fittings.

how many litres of oil will your dry sump system store? I have seen one other K20 on here using a dry sump with around 8L of oil capacity, so cool!

For street car/ ocaasional track work a well baffle sump will be more then sufficient. If your concern about oil starvation look into a oil accusump reasonably cheaper then dry sump setup and does a well enough job.

I guess its "cool" to have a dry sump setup but the headaches and cost associated its not worth it. Dry sump setup will set you back easy 5k. What happens if the dry sump belt slips or say a rock jams in there? say goodbye to engine.

Dry sump system can hold anywhere from 8-20litres of oil depending on how big the oil tank.

You can buy a complete dry sump for a K series for 2500US.

You want minimal amount of oil retained in the system. Anything extra is useless cooling effect and weight.

Yeh fair enough man, it's a typical "what if" - same thing can be said for anything.....we design race cars for that not to happen. Ie - build a shield!

a number of reasons, steady oil pressure, more power and better clearance. Also not to mention that we were looking at the feasibility of offering the kit at a lower price than what is available from the US or UK. So had to purhcase a whole kit to determine what parts are required for the entire kit and price it all up.

Car is not registered and is a dedicated track car. Just an FYI, the dry sump kit costed me less that $2K.

Cool cheap kit. Let me know who long the oil pump lasts for.
