from what i read on his thread the clutch just wore extremely prematurely and was about to slip in a period of 6 months.

i know i have been way too quiet uni has limited my time and budget severely over the past 6months, very excited to get working again and catch up to your great progress lately

i think with these few desired changes the car will feel entirely different and much sharper and agressive, driving it lately has felt very dull and uninspired due to mainly the clutch and suspension - this will change!!!!

bte mega jelous of your jdm brembos man so sexy

Yeah i been putting my heart and soul into that car. I really stopped farting around and actually did somthing about it. Yeah prices from USA for RSD are good, i did consider them myself but with the cost/need for Kpro i made up my mind.
Just looking at Buddy Club Spec III catback, but i heard they are f**ken loud!
I need about a 70mm catback, so i guess thats the next thing on my list.

Do you know what else you have in mind for this year??? should meet up with all the sydney boys soon, was talking to alex bout April. only cos he will be able to drive by then lol

I have heard people have problems with them before. My clutch started off good but after awhile it just wasn't as agressive as before, then it started to have issues with gripping and catching gears. I didn't think much of it at the start as it wasn't that bad. Since i picked up the car at the start of January, Phil told me that the clutch would not last much longer. He said he could feel it slipping on him and would be more noticable now due to the low end tourqe i gained. Sure enough 4 days later 4th and 5th would slip under excelleration. Then 3th. The clutch become almost air like, with the friction point nearly being non existant.

IMO i would avoid the clutch. even if it is cheaper than others out there.

thats great to hear man, with increased income and time will come increased vigor to the pursuit of DC5 perfection...

If you are keen on RSD's or any other coilovers let me know mate i am quite certain i can get us a great discount through american distributors i have spoken with recently, Alex is keen to get in on it as well so ill organise this when i get home.

Jeesus 70mm thats crazy loud i know my pipes arent the best flowing ever but i wouldnt trade the sound for anything i love it! Im keen to meet up meet up April would be great because i mite have a couple things done to the car by then and you should have your car in good order as well.

In relation to what i want to do to my car basically its like this:

        1. suspension swap: RSD's with swift springs if i can justify them
        2. Install PCI bearings
        3. increase rear camber to gain more rear trailing arm clearance for rims
        4. possibly cut and reweld test pipe to raise my low bpipe which scrapes on everything
        5. ECU/TUNE or LSD/Clutch
        6. Change driver seat
        7. Yellow fog lights, red H front badge and relocate license plate
        8. New brake pads

approx parts and labout cost roughly $9500
i think that will send me broke for the rest of the year, its an ambitious list but we will see how the year pans out

Im keen on the RSD's also, mainly because of price difference, I was happy with the N+, I jsut didnt like the softer ridfe it had - and wanted a stiffer ride.

Looking at RSD's becuase of price, as this is a car at the end of the day, and I also have other commitments to attend to. Stevan, order the Nokya foggie bulbs from ebay.

I was also considering getting red tyoe r badges, but would have only considered the rear ( reason is the red goes well in complimenting the red tail lights)

I suggest getting the ECU first stevan, unless your clutch is slipping. No point getting rid of it prematurely.

I think i'll try out the RSD springs for awhile. but let me know when your ready to order, and I can send cash through asap.

well whats with all this "swap RSD springs for other brand"?
Whats the go with the BC springs?
Im looking at Tein monoflex after feeling the ride. OMG they are one amazing coilover.
            But pricey.

Hope you haven't scratched those RPF1s yet? I did on a maccas carpark. oh well, its not that bad.

I was deadset going to get mono flex.

can get it for about 2.8K landed, and the price of RSD landed is defiantely the better in regards for bang for buck.

Boys, lets orgnaise a meet sometime in May. I have a spair SPREETS SOTS Voucher including wakefield lcince if anyone is itnerested, $65; $160 value for $65.

clutch isnt slipping yet, i just dont like how soft it is, sports car should be much firmer and aggressive. its a hard choice because ECU will exaggerate the fact a typeS has no lsd, a difference that i can contrast after being in eddie's typeS with the spoon 1.5 way and spoon clutch which felt amazing

nothing is wrong with the bc spring, swift springs are just lighter and have perfect compression linearity, if one wants the best Agreed on monoflex priceyness, cant justify it at this stage.

havnt scratched the rpf's thank god but i have also had some tight moments in maccas drive-ins, i always regret going in them hahaha.

i think its a sensible mod plan, if one was to be a bit more diligent they mite add in a more aggressive final drive and lightened flywheel as well as an RBC. I have also heard upgrading fuel pumps is a great way to insure top end power

btw take me for a spin when i get back mate would love to see how your car drives now u baller guy

hmm..didnt think the fuel pump mattereed..im sure the standard one is enough? if i was to get a clutch i would def get a lighter flywheel..however i dont see my clutch wearing out anytime soon while I have the car..cosnidering i avg 5k kms a year :P..and yep..will def u for a spin

if you increase your redline rpm i think its a good idea to get a bigger pump to handle the higher L/per min required, just to insure you dont get any power flat spots in the top end. i know i have read of people experiencing a bit of fuel starvation with the stock pump, even so its a cheapish way to keep the pressure up. i dont know how the hell u drive 5kms/year btw whats your $$ per km driven last year hahaha

Understood that the RRC would still need to be IVAC modified to suit K20A2 engines.
