yehhh i got a chance to earn some dosh these holidays. so my car's changed a bit. not much though... i love the excitement when i go shopping for parts haha =]
yeahh!! it'd be awesome to meet you and the others in person!
lol, i thought of burak when i read that! I got yellow foggies also
im leaning towards RSD, as this is a hobby, not a proper race car, so i dont wnan fork out 3k for the mono flex also!
what brand did you get?? im thinking SPyder with nokoya 2500 bulbs, also going to replace my low beam with pia ion yellows because my oem blew just before i left. I wonder if anyone has done a test on the standard RSD spring's compression linearity, i just want a reason to buy swift springs
because Kpro is a pain in the ass and a lot more expensive than haltech. Have to get 02-04 ecu, sensor and pay more for the harness whereas i can just use the haltech straight up. Also from what i have seen on Eddie's car i really like the unit and what its doing for him. Another reason is thy're from Australia so support is 30mins away.

Fair enough, I changed my ecu to type R and also changed the Air/Fuel sensor to run the Kpro. I have heard a few people are dissapointed with the Haltech system and most people swear by Kpro.

what other plans do you have in mind for 2011?
ah ok, you need to update your thread man!! wow i havnt heard of anyone disappointed in the haltech unit do you know of any specific reasons??
well this year i want to get the car driving a lot better than it is now, changing up the weak BC coilovers for RSD's most likely as i have been given great pricing from the states i cant pass up for the likes of monoflex etcetc.
Also, the next thing is a toss up between Exedy HD sports organic/LSD (quaife of mfactory) OR ECU and tune. its a hard choice because i know clutch lsd is obviously essential but i also want my engine running better with the modifications, its a case of working out if i can afford to track the car this year regularly. besides that maybe a few smaller things like new pads, maybe new drivers seat
Yeah, check my OzHonda build thread. Its all there. I been busy since last you heard fro me.
Um just been talking to a few people bout ECU before i made the choice for Kpro. Well i was always going to go Kpro but just got a few others thoughts bout Haltech. I guess its all about what you wanna use. Hondata has a rep for Honda tuning.
Yeah i just bought the Exedy Sports organic after my stage 2 competition failed
live and learn.
so the car is sitting in the garage till i get time to install it. Maybe do some work this weekend.
Yeah im happy with my car atm, well when the clutch is in. Need to find myself another Catback system. Then a good tune and it should be all good.
So clutch & LSD v ECU & tune?? i would stay with the stock ECU for now and concentrate on gearbox for now. There is nothing wrong with the ECU you have atm, but i do understand you wanting to get better performance outta the parts you have.
I got a mate that isn't even running Kpro yet and his EP3R is making 150kw atw with RRC, 70mm tb I/H/E.
I really couldn't believe it when i saw it. I mean he now has Toda Cams and more shit coming so i guess Kpro will be on the cards as well.
I will be hitting the tracks when i get my head around a few more things such as sussy, tyres, and rear brake upgrade. After all im only running a K20A3 and need to make up the lacking power somehow. But i will admit that it pulls HARD now.

wholly shit just checked your thread progress is great, fucking sucks about competition clutch though theres goes me every buying one. i agree ECU is fine but i know i can pick up a lot more down low for DD which would make the car more enjoyable to drive and a lot smoother. first things first new suspension is essential, have to baby the car with the godamn BC's its so shit. put it this way, RSD's, clutch, lsd and ecu tune will make me a very happy camper.......................for a few weeks
That MR DC2R looks so mint! Good call on the Buddy Club RSDs, I think you have made the right choice especially if you can get them for a good price. For all we know most of the middle range Japanese dampers could be much the same inside but at least with the RSDs you are getting good/noticeable rebound adjustment and spring rates that are a really good compromise for street/track use.
I am sure they have sorted out their lower bracket failures by now too .

yeh the DC2 was a nice surprise agreed on the dampers at least i know what im getting and i think the standard rates are quite good like you said. i know that the new RSDs are meant to be revised due to the bracket failure so time will tell.

sorry not a ozhonda member, what problem did your have with a comp clutch, i am looking at getting one myself thats all, havn't heard a bad thing about them yet
