Good work prash. The issue with the tie rods being too long is common as you say. I had an engineering shop do my old tie rods for $75 for the pair. I took them out of the car myself though I guess, also you could look at getting Todd's tie rods from the US (refer THIS thread). They are my fourth set of tie rods and I don't think I will ever change them.
The price for the install and alignment is good though! It took me hours and hours and I still haven't got an alignment.

Went to heasmans today to fit my pci bearings, lower my car and get an alignment
As you guys can see from the alignments results..the bearings increased castor quite a bit. I also "half" lowered my car..I asked to lower abt 1-1.5 inches but apparantly the front was 1 inch higer than the back so only front got lowered. Sits nicely now
A couple of issue...I could only get -1.3ish camber at the back..the skunk2 camber arms had no thread to give. This wasnt a major issue for me...
However the front is where it all gets weird...I could only get -1.25 camber..the issue being if he increase any camber any further...the toe out would increase dramatically which isnt safe and he said he wouldnt let me do it anyway. the stock tie rods had no more thread to give. Best option is buy another pair of stock tie rods and get it shortened by heasmans ($130 a side for the labour)..If anyone else has this same problem and need another pair of tie rods..let me know..I was thinking of gettng a pair from oemacuraparts!...He said he had done it before for a dc5r...and to forget abt inverted tie rods coz they create too much bump steer and is extremely unsafe epspec on the track. Hope to get this fixed by June.
Regarding heasmans..I can see why everyone loves them..true experts and they really take care in what they do..the guys even repainted by control arms when took it outCost of all the labour (change bearings, lower and align =370...if only align = 130)..I think the costs are reasonable because im sure any other wheel alignment place wouldnt have cared abt my stupid and unsafe alignments.
Cant really give any reviews abt the bearings coz all I did was drive home..however Im beginning to love my new brakes..so much better thn my old EBCs. Just need to get over the brake squeal when cold.
Will post pics up of my ride height soon!...already having issues though..my front lip scrapes on my driveway so now I have to drive over the grass on the sides to get my car out :P

the reason i chose the open face is beacuse i get more peripheral vision and noise isnt mufled (safer since im more aware of my surroundings. If i got a closed face..i wouldnt use the visor and I would keep messing with it trying to make it comfy while i drive which isnt safe either. At the end of the day I chose the product that worked best and I am fully aware of safety issues involved. If i was worried about crashing my car..I wouldnt even go to the track. Im not chasing PBs etc..just want to enjoy driving my car..which I cant do on the streets anymore..There are plenty of serious track-go-ers on this forum that run open face helmets anyway. I know that doesnt count for anything but im just putting it out there.
Phrash, I dunno whether or not you've ever worn a helmet before, but being aware of your surroundings isn't something having greater peripheral vision is going to help (Riding a bike, I still needed to physically turn my head to look at my blind spot etc and side traffic). But having us say all this means absolutely nothing because you have your heart set on what you want. All I can say is have fun and drive safe on the track, and when you've driven on track, let us know your experiences on the comfort aspects.

For someone who cares so much about looks, i would have figured you getting a close face helmet. You'll look like Toad (Mario Bros.) wearing that thing.
and when ur on the track, i doubt u will have time to care about the weight of the helmet haha. its not like your going to have it on even if your not on the track
btw eddie, i think i saw u last sunday at autosalon. i was inside the 999 counter

if i get a closed face helmet it would have to be either arai or shoe which cost in excess of $600. the helmet i got is by far the most expensive closed face helmet they had...$140..i would rather get a good lightweight helmet with good fit rather than a cheap helmet just because its closed..hence y i have already scrapped the idea of getting a $200 flip face.

I should probably add that I got this helmet as I did not want to use a hired helmet (disgusting)..If go track more regularly then I may get a flip face for around the 200 mark.

But is running on the street with seats and steering wheel with no airbag any less dangerous?

How much trust are you going to place on an SRS? which stands for Supplemental Restraint System. Closed helmets are the way to go, and yes open ones are more comfortable. I ridea bike and thats why they've designed helmets with vents on the top now so to make sure people close the front visor. I'm just agreeing with SpoonS's comment, not trying to offend you or anything.
