Did you book with fun2drive for those rides in Japan ?
    Thanks [emoji4][emoji4]

Yep we did the fun2drive tour, would definitely go back to Japan simply for that drive. Would recommend for anyone travelling to Japan to do the tour, worth the money!

We paid approx $600 (with the exchange rate much better a few months ago) for a 9 hour drive were we all rotated cars. This included a cancellation fee (50%) on one of the cars (one of the guys couldn't make the trip from AUS) and fuel and tolls. It may sound expensive but the way we drove those cars, the roads and the views made the price seem like a bargain. There are also 3 and 6 hour options. You can try to compare it to go karting in Melbourne, were if you did 9 hours of karting it would cost you a lot more then $600.
(Albeit we weren't driving for 9 hours, but you get the point though haha)

Yep it's a genuine jdm model. One of the cleanest examples I've ever seen.

Another small update now, unfortunately I couldn't do the Winton Fun day which I was very annoyed about. Doing last minute checks on the car I found a small few niggling issues, however I could have still taken the car but chose not to just to be safe. Really couldn't afford to have something go wrong with a couple of major things coming up. It wasn't worth the risk. It was annoying to be at Winton and just being a spectator especially with so many nice cars around to get you in that trackday mindset but what can you do. I did get to go out as a passenger in my friends EP3, seeing him improving his lap times was enough to keep me happy for the day. Freshly resurfaced track was still slippery from what I could gather but overall it was a lot smoother and a lot of the rough patches were fixed up. The day was very quiet for such a perfect day; about 25 degrees and a bit of cloud cover. These fun days we usually packed but we found that it wasn't advertised much this time around. it was quiet with the track being fairly open to set a decent lap time. Again was so annoyed that I didn't bring the DC2

Now the major stuff starts to begin. Got myself a set of these beauties.

A set of bronze TE37 16x8+30. Pretty safe specs And also having some concave. Wheels are in decent condition with no major rash. Still figuring out if I should run a 205 or 225 Hankook RS3.

The concave is hard to photograph but they do have a decent amount. No where near as much as 16x8+15 but those specs are hard to find and also I wasn't too keen to run such aggressive specs. Can't wait til they're on the car.

And finally, the car is now in for a respray and JDM front conversion. Still another few weeks til it is completed and I'm super excited to get it back!

Only photo I've got so far of the progress.

Will update in a few weeks when I've got the car back! Stay tuned.

                  Riz's K24 DC2R

After 6 long weeks, my car is finally back with its fresh respray. I was choosing between a few different panel shops but in the end I chose to go to DT Panels. I'm a sucker for exceptional customer service and Vu provided just that. It did take double the time estimated but a respray is something that can't be rushed, I was content on waiting around and getting a quality job. It was a long 6 weeks and I was missing my car quite a lot How do people drive boring cars on a daily basis? I will never understand.

I was always keen to keep the car black, but I wanted something different to NHB. I tossed up between a few different variations of black. In the end i decided with Subaru Java Black Pearl. It may not be to everyone's taste, especially on a Integra but I personally love it.

It's meant to be a Black with gold pearl/flake. Under sunshine it comes out with a gold shine, with artificial light it comes out more brown and in no light it just looks black. Again it may not be to everyone's taste, but I think it's nice to have something different from other dc2's.

I also picked up a set of genuine optional side skirts and genuine optional rear pods! I still have other bits and pieces sitting in my garage waiting to be installed but uni and work are getting the better of me these days..

Vu and the guys at DT Panels were grouse throughout the whole process and always kept me updated on progress! Always accomodating to my requests and knowing exactly want I wanted. I was super happy with the car and could not wipe the smile off my face, would definitely recommend DT Panels for anyone looking to respray or paint any parts.

Next up is a trip to Winton on Saturday 30/04. Circuit Club are hosting a day and I'm super keen to get out there! Weather permitting I should be hitting my first track day in this car. I still have the TE37's and Tyre combination that needs to be sorted before I do go, but regardless if they do get fitted or not, I am happy to go on my stock wheels and Bridgestone RE002's. I simply just want to get out there and have some fun without caring too much about times.

                  More updates soon!

Nice respray and colour choice. Interesting colour how it shows different shades under certain lighting, like Midnight Purple 3. Kudos for getting out there so soon after the respray is done. Good luck with your track day and have fun.

Thank you! Main aim is to avoid stone chips as much as possible.

Found the skirts from Facebook, the ad was only up for a day before it was taken down, I messaged the guy and to my surprised he agreed to sell. The pods I found on gumtree, bought them a few hours after the ad went up and basically begged the guy to ship them to VIC.

far super lucky with those skirts! My lip is now battered with stone chips after respray. Couldnt avoid it, as I drive to uni via freeway, so sad

That looks fantastic. It will nicely match with the TE37s.

So I spent today test fitting the wheels. I bought a brand new set of Hankook RS3's in 225/50 and 205/45. I quickly realised that the 50 sidewall was a bad idea. Unfortunately Hankook don't make the 225 with a 45 profile. I am meant to be running - 3 degrees of camber on the front but the 225 doesn't look close to fitting.

I decided to just test the 205 on one side to see how they fit and if I like the look.

They definitely sit flush and I'm happy with how they fit but the car needs to be lowered about an inch all round. I'm not super in love with the TE37s on my car (maybe it's been overdone) but they will do for now. Please help convince me that the wheels look good haha. I most likely won't sell the wheels anytime soon but I can't see myself keeping these forever.

Back to stock wheels until I find another pair of 205 tyres..
