What brake pads are you using btw? After the whole day your wheels were still shining white with no brake dust... Haha

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the track despite the incidents. I'm sure you'll be back there with a vengeance and will rip out a mid 1:40's the next time you head out our way!

Originally posted by ChargeR View PostGreat write up on the say Shak, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you. I'm not as exciting as the Internet myth would suggest anyway.
Glad you had a good time, it was unfortunate that some groups were disadvantaged because of unreliable cars and drivers though.

Weekend after H Nationals, I decided to take a look at the car and assess the damage/s that may have occurred from my spin out on track. Also planned for the day was putting in the new tail light gaskets. I invited Fahad over to come give me a hand and we managed to get everything back to normal (well my definition of normal). We also took off the rear bar to inspect the chassis damage.
The only damage was that this part was bent in close to the tyre, the rear bar and mudflap screw into this (although mine wasn't screwed in anyway).
On the other side it looked like this:
Luckily the metal is pretty thin and we were able to bend it back into place.

I received a couple of goodies from JDM Concept.
OEM Rocker Cover gasket set - I was having a slight oil leak, Dede at Top One suggested using an OEM rocker cover gasket instead of an aftermarket replacement (which I put in after painting my rocker cover last november).
Moonface 30mm wiper delete plug:
Spoon duckbill stickers - Was thinking of putting one above the spoon n1 muffler, might scrap that idea though.

After seeing Zi list the Mugen wing for sale on the CITR Facebook group page, I immediately had the urge to take it off hands. I thought about it for a couple days and thought this was a once in a life time chance to grab a bargain, and a piece of history at the same time! For those wondering, the Mugen wing came off JDMYard's DC5 which was owned by Jing before (everyone has seen his epic build thread at least once in their lifetime ). I got in contact with Zi and the rest was history..

Goodbye old wang
Hello new wang
The Mugen wing bolts into the holes already drilled for the Type R wing which makes installation a piece of cake.

Received my SFS induction hose from the UK as the OEM induction hose had a big tear in it. Replaced it pretty much as soon as I got home from work that day.
Oh how I love coming home from work and seeing mail on my bed-

Received a tyre pressure gauge that I purchased a couple weeks before. Saw someone post a link of this and decided to get one for myself as it was quite cheap. It also came with a hard shell protective case which is also a bonus.

Decided to drop by the Downshift meet with Berty. I know it was Mother's Day, but my old lady had decided to work a 12 hour shift. I did take her out for dinner later that night when she got home though. We also ran into a few other CITR DC5's, so I setup the flag for some nice photo opportunities.
Now I may be biased but Berty definitely takes some great shots of my car. I don't miss the pre-facelift look at all now, especially after putting the new wang on. Sunsets really do wonders. Thanks Berty!
