Oh no on the backwoods bushing, seen the same thing happen to a guy on clubrsx. So which way are the arrows pointing? I just bought a set to, can't remember which way the arrows go but it did have an instruction sheet explaining the arrows had changed and showed which way they go

Seems that its common practice to install the bushings in the wrong direction - the ones that I picked up were also incorrectly installed! Just realised it last night so its a good thing we didn't end up doing the swap-a-roo!Official ClubITR Sponsor: www.autosphere.com.au - For all your maintenance, oils and track needs.

Nice DIY - thats the one that I'll be referring to when I get mind re-done.
Heres another photo on how they should be installed:
T-Bagger: I'd double check the way they were installed even if they were installed from someone reputable, like Heasmans...
Note: there were a batch of PCI spherical bearings that had the arrow pointing the wrong way, so its best to take note of where the offset sits rather than the arrow. Use the arrow as a guide only. I doubt yours would be subject to this printing error though Ryan.Official ClubITR Sponsor: www.autosphere.com.au - For all your maintenance, oils and track needs.

Had one of these turn up today. Decided to get a Snell approved helmet, as the motorbike helmet i currently use could melt to my head in a matter of seconds in the case of fire lol
Just in case anyone is interested, the supplier i got it from accidentally sent me an XXL size (i need a large) first which i was going to send back for a refund, but i thought i'd see if anyone was interested in buying it for track days. Will be adding to my for sale thread if you are keen
Also came home from work yesterday to find the Mishimoto radiator i had ordered and new Spoon front strut bar sitting inside. It was 6:00pm but i thought bugger it i'll whack it in lol So drained out the coolant, pulled everything out, installed the Mugen thermostat, fan switch, Samco hoses and the water temp sensor for the GPX unit, then put some new coolant in and was done by 8:30pm. Happy with how everything fitted but i spontaneously ordered "red" Samco hoses and they stick out like "tits on a bull" in the engine bay lol as everything else looks black/grey/stock but oh well, as long as they do the job i don't really care
Had to replace the front strut bar with something aftermarket because the very top of the strut in the engine bay was coming into contact with the stock strut bar restricting any further camber adjustment, always liked the look of the Spoon ones so that was the pick of the bunch. Wont be getting massive camber until camber bolts and tie rod ends are changed but it should help a bit.
So now all that needs to be done is the Spherical bushings swapped, alignment, install tow hooks and clean the whole car inside and out and it should be ready for a run next Friday. Hopefully everything goes to plan and there is not leaks from anything
Cant wait for Honda Nationals!!!

So close to being ready for the Honda Nats! Putting in the hard yards to get this splitter done. Going to be a couple of late nights I think.
Am about 1/3 the way finished
Also going to wack on some carbon canards as well, Benny from BYP gave me a very tempting deal on them so I had to snap them up. Not sure they will affect aero very much but they look awesome have them taped on to get the fitment right ATM
Then there are just a few things to clean up and a few stickers to put on and it's ready! Can't wait for this weekend, should be fantastic, see you all there!
Ryan
Edit: probably should mention the reason for the new splitter. Came off at the sweeper last Friday and destroyed the brand new one after just 4 laps! So a new one is needed, I'm not just obsessed with making splitters hahaLast edited by Oz Striker; 17-04-13, 09:52 PM.
