    Yonas recommend SAS to tune
    Indeed.
Take it to Adrian Tim, he'll look after ya good, then again Scott is just as good.
I'll be taking my car up to Syd next year for tuning and it'll be going to Adrian @ SAS.
The JDMYard DC5 performed really well and Zi was really happy with the tune Adrian did, spoke very highly of him!

DC5 is coming along well mate, keep it up!

      Gotta LOVE sunday arvos
Getting so close to completion now.

      Block off plate is done.
I think it looks pretty cool and different. This will 'hopefully' house 3 52mm gauges.
Wondering what is made out of???

3' think tinted perspex. It does show reflections and I going to spray matt black but im thinking of leaving it..

      Almost done in here.

And again I found myself cutting into the front bar to get the oil cooler to fit.
After borrowing a friends drill and some cheap drill bits from Bunnings I was getting nowhere.
Headed off to Masters and go myself a 18V cordless Bosch drill will better drill bits.
Got through the from support bar with ease.

gotta fit this next. Glad im relocation the battery

The hoses should fit around the engine bay from cooler > block > filer > cooler
Hoping I dont fall too short or too much.

Should look good when its back on the road and rolling behind in your review mirror.

Packed up all the tools and toys until next weekend when I can put the oil pump, spoon sump, seals, gaskets, thermostat and change to the K20 crank pulley.
Then the ONLY thing left to do it DROP IT IN and hope it all works.

Only gangsta's use Rega's as chassis stands!!

I can't remember, did I send you the K24 tune Adrian did for me? Sounds like you'll be running basically the same mods as me, so should give Adrian a really good base map to run, and it'll be safe for your engine to.

Yesterday I spent a solid 3 hours just on the motor.
                50 degree VTC is on
the K24 oil pump is removed
the k24 oil squirter is removed and blocked off

The motor looks good inside, nothing out of the ordinary for a 124,000km motor.
I will be cutting the Type R oil pump this weekend (hopefully without any issues)
Once thats done I can fit the pump, chain and spoon sump, time everything up and I am DONE!!!!

Might get time on Monday (engine crane pending) to drop the motor in the car.
Hopefully should be running next weekend.

Great to hear Timmy. That 50 deg vtc is going to be used a hell of a lot in your tune
Lisa is a nut. She has a rubber butt. Everytime she turns around it goes putt putt.

Well... 40' of it is. If you use the full 50, you run the very high chance of having piston to valve issues (ie they touch at high rpm). Running 45' is safe, but most tuners recommend running 40' for safety. If you over rev, the VTC can still run above 40', as its only an electronic limitation.

Does that oil cooler hose actually run underneath the chassis rail?
If so, wouldn't that be abit bad of a position considering if you were to come off on track and hit the gravel? Just thinking about it that's all.

Dont stress bout that hose. Its not finished yet.
I will be p clamping all hose and getting it ouy of the way of potential rupture or damage.
Im sure I will figure out a better way to run the hose.
