having used both the toda combo and currently the orc combo. i will say that the toda one definiitely feels much more hardcore and is harder to pedal than the orc one. unfortunalettly it is designed for na application and i have 230kw at the wheels on my dc5 so i had to go to orc as it has a better clamp load. having sad that orc is much easier to drive with everyday, but in terms of preferance i liked the toda one much much better.

it doesn't seem like people know the weight of the stock flywheel, from just looking around the net, i found the answer. About 4.6kg but i'm not sure if that is JDM or not and is it the same with our's?

does the exedy/toda hyper single have the same issues as the orc?

on a side note: exedy organic vs toda organic ?

and a very newb question.. wts the diff between metallic/organic?

i put in an ultra-light flywheel a few years back with the exedy cerametalic clutch, flywheel is 3.5kgs, makes peakhour a pain in the ass, and the squealing isnt the nicest sound.....

                          Exedy state the following...lol

chatter on light throttle, low RPM start-up, in addition to an increase in cabin/transmission noise. This characteristic is generally deemed acceptable in modified performance cars.

I was talking to a friend 2 nights ago about how i need to replace my clutch real soon because the clutch is slipping like mad, it can even take off at 4th gear with ease.

I began thinking about the exedy, orc and toda clutches. However, this friend i was speaking to drove a ek4, didn't really agree with me going with an orc clutch. Because he bought one a few months ago and he is not happy about it's daily comfort, no doubt he said it's real good on the track, but mostly driven on street so he advise me not to get it.

So now i'm just thinking of the exedy clutch or toda clutch + flywheel.

In the process of getting quotes from different place, i don't seem to able to find 2 places that have the same part number for the Exedy Clutch.

'That’s definitely not available from Exedy Japan. Maybe the one you are talking about is the kit which is available for Australian market and made by Daikin Clutch Australia. If so, it is not available from Exedy Japan'

Can anyone here confirm the part number for the exedy clutch?

Also, i'm only new to cars, so haven't driven wide range of cars yet. The easiest clutch i driven would be my stock dc5R clutch, and hard one would be Sti Impreza '06 & evo8 MR. How would you rate the exedy and toda clutch if 10 being hard to use as daily (e.g. Sti and evo8MR) and 1 being stock dc5R clutch?

If its daily driven, i recommend the exedy HD clutch replacement. ORC can be abit to heavy for street driven.
