No permit. But dont go if the cars leaking oil or some crap. And there is signs saying were u can and can't drive. Before u go i recommend u get recovery tracks! Or go with some other 4wd and have tow rops. And its best after a rainy day. It compacts the sand. When i went. every foot step you sunk past your ankles! Ht's and At's are the best for sand. Muds dig u down and get u bogged. And road tires do help keep u float but give bad traction on the sand. Drop your tire psi to around 15 psi on the sand!sigpic

I love modifying my car but the funny thing is, when I look back it, the time spent to mod my car always goes like this
- first few minutes, the install is going to plan, I'm calm and collected
- next few hours/minutes, the install doesn't go to plan, s**t hits the fan and I get frustrated and say stupid s**t
- last few minutes, finally relieved that I won't have to repeat this install anytime soon.
I modify my cars purely on the basis of improving the driver experience. Modifying a car for the sake of not leaving it stock is just money down the drain in my opinion. I'll keep tweaking it and adjusting it till it reaches a point where I'm happy with how the car behaves and then enjoy the car until I think it's time for a change. Even if I wasn't happy with how the car behaved, I would still take time to enjoy the car for what it is. I buy the car for the car, not for the mods.
Time and time again, I see a highly tuned car for sale that only has a small number of km's on the engine e.g. 500-1000 kms. I just don't see any fun in that.
That's just my opinion though, rant ended lol.
