weekend DC2R

    ok, so rebekah has been off the road for the last three months because she was just about to roll over 90,000 kms and i couldnt afford to service her at that point plus the power steering pump started leaking a bit. So I finally decided to spend the coin and buy her a christmas present.



    as a result of not driving her for thre months, the clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder started weeping, and the battery packed it in. The truth of the matter really hit me, if you dont drive a car it will deteriorate faster than if you drive it often, so ive sold my daily and I will be employing rebekah full time.

    So I had the p/s pump, slave cyl and master cyl all rebuilt and aquired a new battery.








    when was the last time you checked your air filter?

    And there she sits waiting for me to spank her again. She loves it when I hit her vtec.


    And I also got this sweet honda watch and note book for christmas



    So now that this is my daily Ive decied to do some small upgrades so stay tuned!

        So ive been searching around for a genuine type r rear strut brace that came as a factory option. Honda cant get them any more and I was lucky enough to find one second hand. Bit of a shame it has a few scratches










        Also had these bushes sitting in the cupboard for the past 12 months so I did some investigating and foundout they would fit on my front sway bar links so I thought why not :]








        I also notced that some evos have little enkei sticks on their wheels so I decided to get some for mine.






        Ive waiting on a few more items to arrive

          How do you like the strut bar? Notice any/much difference? Enkei stickers FTL..

            yeh the strut brace made a huge difference, i think itll probably run flat 12s now

                        Incorrect. It is still a compromise for a car that is designed to be driven in varying conditions. This is not a Race Car - It is a Road Car. As such, the ride height is enough to ensure clearance in most situations. The RC needs to be adjusted if the height is dropped too much to keep geometry in order, however the stock height is not the best / fastest. Simply, the best compromise.

                              so I decided to spend some coin and upgrade the shitty standard speakers. They were getting really crackly and apon inspectio I found they were falling appart.


                              I replaced all 4 speakers with these


                              No nasty suprises when I took the door cards off. The plastic sheet was starting to come off so I stuck it down again.




                              Here's the problem, they're pioneer




                              No pics of rear speakers, it was a bitch of a job and I just wanted to get it over and done with.

                              I broke one of these clips


                              So I got some spares from Honda. There is a good feeling associated with buying fgenuine Honda parts, like a boss.


                              And I took an opportunity to test out the camera on my new phone

                                are those the same size speakers? they look quite small, which would mean less mid and low bass?

                                I upgraded the speakers in mine as well to kicker fronts and pioneer rears (2 ways). I had pioneers 2 ways , same speakers F + R, but because the Fronts lacked such depth and oomph, i sold them to a mate, and got kickers in the front, which made a world of difference.

                                Then i got bored and went and got an ebay sub + amp in one (6" sub in a tube), $60 delivered which was the best upgrade i have ever made to a modest stereo. ppl bag it cos its ebay, but in reality, it was one of the best bang for your buck upgrades ever. Music/bass is nice and full to sensible, audible limits. None of this SPL bullshit.
