no idea, don't pay much attention to rotas lol.

            ANOTHER PROBLEM!!
            Driving me insane.

But anyway, over mid last week and in particular the weekend my coilovers have given me hell. Drove back to Tamworth from Sydney last thursday along the F1 and I noticed the occasional odd click from the front right corner of my car, occasional becoming less occasional and more often at higher speeds.

Car was also going crazy when hitting bumps of any sort, with violent jerking telling me my car was about to explode.

took it to the local honda specialist (Woodleys)
Jacked it up and it immediately obvious some sort of seal has broken, with oil all over below the visible part of the strut and down behind the hub. When holding the hub and moving it back and forth, it makes the clicking sound that i heard on the freeway, and prior to checking it.

The guess without stripping it is that a bushing or something has done itself in and as a result the strut has been moving around freely within the spring and broken a few things

Sent it off to Fulcrum this morning. modification is money =/

Have had progress on this but just haven't updated it here straight away.

Fulcrum recieved and rebuilt the coilover, and done the following:

                - Replaced the guide assembly
                - Replaced the seals

Cost a bit, but glad it could be done. What they said was it was wear and tear basically with no definate cause..
Fulcrum advised that my height settings were wound up too high and the effects that had could have caused the guide assembly to fail.
Recommendation was that I should lower the clevace by about 2 inches..

anyone shed some light on that? I guess having the settings higher for clearance changed the preload/spring rate or something, not a suspension expert myself.

thats poo, who'd a thought rolling to high could cause you pocket pain, it's normally the other way round hey?
Good to hear it was fixable though, seems teins aren't holding up to well on our awesome aus-spec roads

                    Alot of running around today

After getting my front and rear guards rolled yesterday (Sydney guard rolling $60 a corner), I drove out from the eastern suburbs to Parramatta to pick up some new wheels.
Have been after TE37s for a long long and long time. I wanted something with concavity and wanted much better fitment then my first set of works, my definition of better fitment is the wheel giving an stance that sits the tip of the tyre aligned with the edge of the guard.

Not looking to change wheel colour, I'm really happy how matt bronze sits with my paintwork.

After alot of looking around and research I couldn't justify spending the extra money for TE37s against rota grids which are well made, light (9.7kg a corner) and with really nice concave face.
I was really suprised on how nice the finish of the rotas are, for a 'replica' it really does look the part.

Got a good deal from Otomoto and couldn't turn it down.

                    Rota Grids in 18x9.5+30.

Thought I might complete my spending spree and go find tyres too lol.

                    Previously decided on 235/40
set out looking at the ranges certain tyre stores for their ranges in this size, ended up at Bob Jane (Bondi), Spin City (Parramatta), Tempe tyres (Tempe lol).

Didn't want to go Kuhmo as I'm not happy with my current setup with them (215/40 KU31). The grip just died in the wet and wheel spin is as common as the sun going down.

Best value for the day turned out to be Falken 452s from Tempe tyres for $180 a corner, which is just awesome. Will comment on my thoughts of these later.

Mounted the tyres and swapped the wheels over.

                      Bye CR KAIs!

Real happy with the initial look of how it fits.

                      and the fronts...needing that camber!

Didnt have time to get an wheel alignment today. Tonight going to make some adjustments to the height, mainly at the front, and getting a wheel alignment tomorow.
Going to run -1.5 at the fronts and -2 or -1.5 on the rears, will see how it goes.

Will put better pics when I play around with the camber and height.
Also visited JDM yard and found something nice which I will disclose at a later date :P
