Good improvement throughout the day Tom, so close to the mid 1:20's you were aiming for

I'm sure you would have done better if Q didn't do whatever he did to you the night before

Considering it was your first time at OP, first time out on track with your new wheel setup, racing on street tires that you are not use to and being pillaged the night before, you did great mang
Respect to you for driving to Syd and participating.

        Good effort there Tom,
Dont be too hard on yourself.
        Least you've tasted Oran
I have been trying to forget the horrible things that happened that night, you mentioning it brings it all back.

Thanks man, it is not that I had a time in mind that I didn't achieve just that I knew I could go faster on the day and didn't that bothers me a little. Oh well the only thing for it is to set a good time at Winton in May to show I am not a complete retard ,

Thanks for the encouragement guy. You should come to Sydney to track next time, so we can ride in your luxury car and make some other fool drive my noisy piece of junk .

Try removing bonnet and hard parking for improved lap times.

I hear adding more stickers and only having one wiper adds extra power.

Hmmm you might be right this caper would be a lot easier if I just parked my car and talked crap about the lap times it *could* do .

Ha. Ha ha. I actually have acquired some new stickers, they will be fitted shortly . So ha. And if I had the money I would have a foot high Voltex wing hanging off the back of my car.

Thanks a lot! Get some good tyres on yours and your guards and alignment sorted and it will look awesome too .

I am an advocate of wider is better but I have no proof to support my claims , maybe you should wait until I hit the track next and then if my super wide tyres go fast then you should get super wide tyres . I feel that a 245/40 front and 235/40 rear surely wouldn't be overkill, but tyre compound is more important than size so go with something nice and sticky like the Dunlop Direzza Z1 or the new Bridgestone RE11.

How much wider would you say you've pulled your front guards?

Hard to say for sure because my work on them has distorted them a fair bit, but I would estimate around 10mm, certainly not more than 15. Not as much as the width of your J's guards judging from the front on shots you posted recently .
