Nice seat! Never seen fixed buckets being flat mounted before! Have a look on YJP, you can get a seat belt extender - proper one. It's bolted to the rear inside seat rail bolt, and you thread it through the hole on the bucket seat. Downside is if you are taller than 6foot, it's not for you. Ideally it's designed for shorter Asian men if say around 165-170cm? I'm at 183, and it's right on, although T I would have liked it to be a tad shorter...

April 2016 – Hardtop back on/Transmission fluid/Braided brake lines/Shin-Etsu
I bought a 3.5mm extension for my GoPro and fed that behind the passenger seat to the boot. I was hoping I could get through the boot and out of the license plate light for better sound but no luck so far. I tried with the mic in the boot and that was terrible.
I put my hardtop back on and took some pictures at the arboretum in Canberra which has nice views of Telstra tower.
My hard top squeaks a fair bit and it seems that most of it was coming from the front where the hardtop latches onto the car. I used some Shin etsu grease and greased up the rubber strip along the front and that made a big difference, for a day. After that, it started to squeak again. I’ll try again another time as the squeaks don’t really bother me that much.
The shifter was feeling a bit sloppy so I changed the transmission fluid. Had enough Redline MT90 left and used that. I might go Honda MTF next and see how fast that
One thing I did get when changing my pads and rotors were the new brake lines. I bought some HEL Braided brake lines off their website and they arrived very fast. There are heaps of colour choices and I went with carbolook. Tried the billman gravity method on s2ki to bleed the brakes this time and that seemed to work well, just time consuming. I stuck with ATE Super Blue Racing as I haven’t had any issues with it and have a couple of bottles left.

I do the bill mans gravity method too. Because you aren't pumping the pedal, you can do all four at the same time.
You will find yourself shutting off driver front first, then pass front, then the rears...I just got a 600ml bottle and hose off each nipple. And just got to watch the reservoir doesn't empty which is pretty easy. Start to finish say 55min? Not bad without pumping the pedal too. Clutch takes 5min also

2.5 years later…
I still have the S2000! Since my last update, I’ve pretty much just been driving the car as is. Main changes have just been maintenance (oil/transmission fluid changes, Endless MXRS pads, DBA T3 Rotors, Serpentine belt and a new battery). Looking back to the start of this thread, March marks the 4 year anniversary of owning the car! Don’t think I’ll ever sell it
I average around 5,000kms per year in this car and it hasn’t missed a beat in my ownership. In terms of mods, all I’ve done since my last post were Black OEM Extended Floor Mats. The old ones were worn out and this gives the interior a much cleaner look.
In Feb 2018, I bought a 2007 FN2R as a daily. It only had 99,000kms on it when I bought it. Initially I wasn’t a fan of the FN2 shape however, it’s grown on me.
It’s a very practical car and has a massive boot once the rear seats are folded down. I bought a Tegiwa Catback for some noise which has been really good. It’s quiet and doesn’t drone, then makes a nice sound when giving it a little. Downshifts sound good too with a subtle crackle when the rear seats are down haha.
Currently plans for the S2000 include new wheels and Spoon calipers. I’ve been researching whether my current wheels will fit over the calipers. S2ki suggests they’ll fit with a 10mm spacer. I don't really want to go down the path of extended studs and i've been reading about wide tread spacers. Options are to try find 2 bronze CE28s for the front or find a new set of wheels that will fit.
Current Front wheel specs
18x7.5 +50
Has anyone used Project Kics/Ichiba Wide Tread Spacers before? With the design of the CE28N, any ideas on whether they’ll fit over them? Without testing yet, I have a feeling those extra holes weren’t designed for studs to come out of. Keen to hear your thoughts on whether this is a viable option or what you think the best way to fit the calipers would be.
