The popping may be your tie rod ends binding due to the alignment and ride height (extreme tie rod angle).

Not 100% on this topic but installing a steering rack bracket my help alleviate this.

Hopefully someone more experienced in suspension (like ChargeR) can chime in and confirm.

I'd say the Injen CAI would be a good investment. Its cheaper, better sounding than the Mugen (this is subjective of course) and creates more power.

First I've ever heard of these tie rods ever having these issues.
