Good choice on the auto, the gearboxes in these things are mind blowing, blips on the downshifts make you sound pro, and combined with the dtc it becomes such an easy car to drive really really fast

the manual in most euro cars is not what u think it its..soft clutches, long gear throws etc..the m-dct has plenty of charisma if u use it right ..trust me
decided to clean the filter and just realised that this car has a triple intake system. Has ram air scoops from the front grill (force air in whle its moving i guess), a scoop leading from the hood vent, and cold air intake duct and pipe leading the passenger side intake hole in the front bumper. All of the above leading into the intake chamber box and onto the ITBs. Pretty amazing stuff.
Also this car has 4 cats (ye i think it has issues lol)..guess this was in order to clear euro emission standards with that engine. In terms of other cool stuff ive noticed so far:
-cornering light - an extra light comes on in the headlight when you turn the wheel more than a certain point to stopu from turning into a blind alley
-headlight startup - it starts by focusing on the road and then mvoes up slowly to the position u set it to. Looks like the car is waking up or something when ur sitting inside.
-the windows open a bit automatically when u open the door to clear the visors and move up once u close the door
- the redline marker starts off at 6k rpm and gradually moves up as the car gets warmer
Things I find annoying so far:
-auto engine stop start - kinda annoying when ur day dreaming at the lights and then need to go in a hurry but gotta wait a sec for the engine to start. Also kinda embarrassing coz ppl think u stalled the car pulling up to the lights.
-reversing while having the door open and trying to look out the back to spot the kerb when reverse parking - this is not possible as the car auto engages neutral when u open the door.
Prash, i think its time....to buy a blind spot mirror great for spotting kerbs :P
actually i dont need one. the passenger side mirror auto folds down in reverse so u can see the kerb. and both mirrors have blind spot mirrors built in to them on the outside edge (its curved differently at the edge)

was gonna say...it would have come built in, like merc, the mirror auto comes down, yea, i get what you mean, i have to do that too when i park my car, gets annoying when parking in the dark, can't see crap
I like how the redline slowly increases as it coems up to optimal temp!
it goes one step further actually..before the gearbox got broken in at 3k kms the redline was actually a bit lower..but it has now increased to its maximum
