Update 11/02/13
Minor update today. Dropped by Exhaust Plus down in Prospect on the way home from work to see if they can fit an exhaust gasket for me between the mid-pipe and axleback. Turns out there was already one there. The cone sticking out on the end of the mid pipe was the sealing gasket. Oh yeah. Honda quoted me $80 for that gasket and the funny thing was: They've never sold one before. EVER. Because it was re-usable, people never bothered to replace them. Some fancy bendable compound gasket which moves along with the exhaust. Big win. That 80 probably going toward a nice sway bar.
Was still worried about the health of the engine so I did a full compression test today. Results as follows (All in psi):
Cylinder 1
Dry: 200
Wet: 235
Cylinder 2
Dry: 195
Wet: 222
Cylinder 3
Dry: 190
Wet: 235
Cylinder 4
Dry: 195
Wet: 215
According to the workshop manual, minimum is 135 psi with maximum variation of 28 psi. My compression sounds too good to be true. Either it's a super engine, or that's what K20A2 engines are really capable of.
Can someone weigh in on my compression values. Normal or what?Last edited by knobosaurus; 11-02-13, 07:35 PM.

its more important to look for consistency across cylinders rather than actual numbers. 180 accross all four is very standard and healthyLast edited by fr4n; 11-02-13, 10:30 PM.

Update 27/02/13
Been hard at work for the past few weeks. Time to give you guys an update. Fresh fluids and a filter were dumped in
New MUGEN radiator cap came in and was welcomed with much love
To properly diagnose the faulty TPS, I couldn't actually fit my multimeter terminals in such a cramped space. Dad fashioned a pretty plug which allowed some nice extension leads out so I can read my sensor resistance
Dropped by my mate's house since he just purchased a headlight restoration kit. Did both our cars in one hit
Before:
After:
THERE'S A DIFFERENCE!!!! THERE HAS TO BE (Spent about 2 hours going at it. Don't want my efforts to be in vain)
Today's last addition to the family was my Blackworks Racing Tow hook
I'm just waiting on eLtrix's awesome throttlebody to arrive along with my Mugen Sports Suspension. Can't really go for coils (P platers can be quite the cop magent) so that'll have to do for now.
