So this season ended a little early, i was heading down to a track day called Honda Weekend when i noticed a knocking noise from the engine, fortunately for me i cached quite fast, but the car is winterhibernation mode and will be rebuild with some new goodies

This is not a proper way to have your dc2 on the road

And my junk2 stage 2 exhaust cam

    Any suggestions on cams?
These are the ones that i'm thinking about

    Drag cartel 2.2
    Prayoonto stage 2
    Crower stage 2 3/4

Anyone ever tried a spoon headgasket?

Yeah, to bad really! But i've missed the three best trackdays since it broke last week...
And planning a long vacation to the states is dipping in the car account
But i will be back, faster and better

Small update, ordered some new cams!
Crower stage 2 3/4 should suit the car quite well with a spoon headgasket and perhaps E85

            So this also happened...

Found the small bits in the oil pan... tearing apart the block to sort out the damage. Thank you skunk2 for making horrible cams (when i have a picture of the exhaust cam) you'll know what i'm talking about! And thank you to the previous owner for fitting them!

If the damage is to serious i'm leaning towards K24 or should i buy another K20, any thoughts?

Ouch Junk2 strikes again. Bad luck mate, if the damage is serious I would probably opt for the K24 with OEM internals with some K20 bits like oil pump, VTC and so on, which to me is more than enough power especially for a lightweight DC2 and it'll be a very reliable setup.

Id stay sway from the hybrid. Tensioner as well as junk2 stuff for the k series. A few ppl have reported the tensioner failing. Stick to an OEM tensioner.

Yepp, can't figure out why people keep buying their products, okey they might be able to do a gearknob but anyting that matters i would recommend any one to stay clear! And these are stage 2 V3!
K24 would be nice, anyone had any experience with Crower (not brian) stage 2 3/4 on a K24?
                  That's all I want, a reliable engine

Quite interesting with the TCT, every documented failure that i have found on K20a.org has been using guess what, junk2 stage 2 cams!

Skunk rectified there mistake in the v2. There is a chance that the tensioner failed and the cam wasn't to blame.

                      My mistake, they are V2s!
Forgot to take a picture of the cam today but i started to prepping the engine bay for pulling out the engine!

Just waiting on a engine hoist and she's out!

Finally figured out what these things are for

So me and a friend started to pull out the engine

                        about an hour later

She's running on hopes and dreams for the moment!

Might as well detail the engine bay now

You doing any deletes like power steering or ABS? Or are you doing just a straight swap of the new engine in the car?
