After being a member of this forum for just over 5 years and never making a thread for my car, i thought i might just make one, so here it is.


My is a 1997 DC2 Integra Type R, Privately imported by it's previous owner. I have owned it for 5 and a bit years and it really hasn't changed much except for a few suspension mods but that is going to change soon when i buy a 2nd daily car.

I mainly used it as a weekend/track car till i moved to canada almost 2 years ago now. The best time i could do around Queensland raceway Sprint track was 1:02.44 without some of the parts listed below. Lakeside was a 1:02.8.

The car needs a bit of work atm to get back to being track ready again, There are suspension bushes gone somewhere, ABS has given up, CV joint boot has split, Either the clutch master or slave cylinder seals have died and the fan switch kick is rather late and prolly other stuff i can't remember right now.

Nah, it's fine, just a bit dirty. It is just 100% stock, even the standard spark cover and air box is still in there. I don't even have silly socks on my reservoirs. I don't really have any photos of the engine bay.

The clutch pedal was very mushey feeling compared to yours.

I want a Zieg III for the drivers seat now and then move the Gias to the passenger side.

Oh man car reminds me of my car and what makes it trippy is that we're almost on the same level in terms of where the car is at now.
Although i haven't track my car before, i am having issues with a few things which ill attend to once i get my other integra on the road (hopefully soon) so i can work on my type r and have it for track.

Definitely inspired me to start a thread on my car haha.

But please keep this thread updated, it'll be nice to see the progress on what you'll do with it.

Hows the ATS 4.9 Final Drive? How do you like it over your stock 4.4 final drive?

I was planning to get the Mfactory 4.9 Final Drive as well. and repleace my 4.4.

at around 120 KPH what rpm are you sitting at?

195/55R15 Advan A050 Soft. 1.02 isn't that good.

Haven't installed them yet. They are stilling in their boxes in the garage.

Awesome to see you're finally getting back into it Tim! Not sure if you'd remember me, I met you ages ago at the old old jdmst meets (aldi, goodguys, etc) I had a maroon dc2 at the time.

Come out to the next jdmst meet (we run them through downshift now) if you're free, few old schoolers still kickin around.
