This ensures you can still bolt the harness down but allows for the correct angle to save your spine should you get into an accident. From a few discussions in the past, for the DC5 chassis, without a bar is very borderline on acceptable but also varies depending on seat height / driver. Harness bar helps to remove this grey area.

Also the rigidity of the c-pillar is another thing to thing about. I would think you'd lose strength since you're mounting it to a bar that is then mounted to the chassis. I'm pretty sure most of the cars you see with it mounted to a bar have the cage welded to the chassis.
annoying prospect is that the only 'safe' harness bar is the sparco bar and will cost a hefty ~$500 to get it, the best and safest full cage option would be the autopower half cage for DC5.

Re the c pillar that bar is mostly in compression or tension depending on the chassis movement, a harness passing over it will want to shear on the connection which is something it was not designed for, i wouldn't want to put it there purely for angle correction

Dave on your second eye bolt near the quarter panel, if you can try and tighten it more so it makes a straight line pointing toward the front of the car, its only a minor thing but a strong pull on the harness can make it turn around and cause a bit if slack to form, keep up the good work and boo you for not getting a powergetter

Haha all good man, this photo was actually taken whilst i was tightening, all four eye bolts are now tightened and run parellel to the front seats

The power getter turned out to not be what i was after (also hard to find), but i opted for something a little louder and more beefy

Little cheaper too and unique hahaah but thankss

hope this is all helped Carl

I have a video of my track lap on my Facebook. I'll upload to YouTube soon

The WRX is a different car all together. I don't like it's insane torque and low red line. I have found the integra more enjoyable as it front wheel drive but also you can rev out the gears more love the extra bit of redline also the WRX when you rev it out sounds like it doesn't want to go there, almost like you have to short shift then again, I love the WRX and will hopefully one day own the 2006 Sti I dream of

Yo Dave, when do you turn 18?
Going to be interesting to see how smooth you go with the 'P's up in this beast (In regards to the VicPol).

Wow I just read it for the first time after you kept updating more stuff on your car's progress. I didn't know you have a skunk2 exhaust lol, awesome sound driving behind it :P Maybe i should consider skunk2 instead of fujitsubo now haha

Awesome car and can't wait to see more mods done to it!
