Okay, just got it today =)
Bigs thanks to Jesse Streeter on this one!
Came home to this
I didn't really like the new J's Racing Type S bonnet design... I liked the Type V bonnet so i set a goal to search to find one.. Funnily enough i came across one rather quickly cause of Jesse but i was keep a watchful eye on the link he gave me to keep a watch on! I think i paid a relatively good price for an item that's not on the shelf for sale anymore..
Anyway...
Open the box and..
J's Racing Type V Bonnet
I haven't unwrapped it from that protective plastic just yet but from looking over it there doesn't seem to be any damage what-so-ever. I think possibly this bonnet has NEVER been mounted before...
Still waiting on one more item now... Really can't wait to get this fitted though!Last edited by MYDC5R; 13-05-13, 05:32 PM.

Originally posted by Norm View PostVery nice addition. Wondering how the legalities of this bonnet is on street though. Seems like its quite subjective depending on assessor.
The full legalities unknown but courtesy of a friend of mine who's had his R33 assessed with a carbon bonnet.. VicRoads had no problems with it provided it had a secondary lock on the bonnet (Pins etc)
You can't use your standard bonnet pins as they're a protruding object and in the event of a front collision with a person they could injure them more so hence why i bought the aerocatch locks as there a flush fitment with nothing obscuring from them.
Technically speaking, if a modification you do to your car isn't ADR approved or certified by an Engineer it is classified as illegal. Correct me if im wrong someone?
At the end of the day, it'll be up to the discretion of the police officer.. The car isn't driven to often anymore on the street which helps abit.
