          Thanks guys!

          @robi: no I didn't. I had it sitting around ready to be painted but it was too ghetto to rock around an unpainted lip :P

          @alex: what do you mean?

            Haven't been up to too much with the car, but have finally started what I've wanted to do: paint my rims white!

            Been doing a bit of research online - but with no experience in spray painting.. this has been a bit of a trip for me and my mate.

            We only did one wheel for our first go to get a hang of things.. but I think overall I'm pleased with the result.

            The original:

            The spraying/sprayed:

            The only Aspec dc5s that I've seen in Aus - hopefully he/she is a member and makes a show off thread!

            Getting a wash:

            I'm very happy with the white, and I've ordered some EVO decals to replace the ones I've taken off. However, the finish (even after several layers of clear coat) doesn't feel the same as my original paint/finish. My friend said to resand it with 800/1200 grit sand paper and clear again and wax - does anyone have any tips as to how to get it to a really glossy kind of white?

              you have to put a thick layer of clear on for the 'glossy' effect, i actually liked the silver though

                        Agreed. But my FGK PG hangs too low for me to go any lower as a DD

                            Excellent catback, not too loud. Has a subtle tuner tone and is relatively deep. Butt dyno says gains are seen but i havent dynod and that would be quite set up dependant.

                            Seems to hang quite low with the toda header, which has began to annoy me since with 2 and 1 finger gap front and rear respectively, i seem to scrape (minor but still evident) on ordinary shopping centre speed bumps.

                            Love the pop it makes when you down shift or let go of the throttle. Makes driving/revving a pleasure

                                nice car! I've seen you around a few times around Garden City. I'm the guy with the blue DC5S, white wheels (currently grey) and the Powergetter exhaust.
