Wouldn't bother with cams. Just do the basic I/H/E ECU + TUNE and enjoy it

End of day, most of you guys drive your car on a daily basis. The k20 is pretty gutless down low, so why not put in a K24 bottom end to make it more joyful to drive around town. Then when you give it a hit, the torque from the K24 bottom end will certianly give it that extra kick
There is nothing wrong with american cams. Its just that they are well price! JDM brand tend to be over price and doesnt yield the results you want for the priceLast edited by benson; 28-09-11, 10:37 AM.BYP Racing & Developments

900-1100 for a K24 not really too sure how much they are now adays
1K labour
1.1K for a KPRO
500 For a good tune.
500 engine mounts
K24 is the better choice for me over K20. More bang for buck. Say you had an eg or something it will cost ALOT more for a K20 with a dc5r gearbox plus the lot compared to a K24 with a modified euro box and extras. The Gun Metal DC5R

I don't think I'll leave it with I/H/E, I'll have to ATLEAST have a RBC and IMG to go with the tune

^exactly, do what you want mate,
its your car so mod it however you see fit,
sure you may not end up with fastest dc5 going round, but do you really care?
do your research and go down your own path,
and take into account one of the reasons why the k24 option is so popular in the states, it's cause they are fat and lazy and don't like changing gears so much
where as me, i bought a honda cause i love engines that rev and also cause i like to and and some more02 Indy Yellow s2000::::::04 Arctic Blue Pearl DC5R::::::05 White B2600::::::10 Ibis White Q5

u got k 20.. go k24 block if u seriously want power imo... i rather a car that ahndles well and looks great.. how often do u track ur car... out of the 365 days in a year, lets say u track your car once a month; 12/365 = only just over 3% .. who cares about spending big big money on power, after having kpro, honestly in no way am i going RBC or intake manifold upgrade... my mate got 133, i got 140, and I have aftermarket headers and exhaust...
If I had to do my power mods again, i'd do an intake and kpro tune... best bang for buck when you consider dollar/kw .
