It's just a collar that holds up the shift boot to the knob, makes it look nice and pretty

The Type R's kind of have one built into the shifter, a little knob of metal that sticks out. The Type S have the silver clip thingy.

I was going to take my car there for an alignment. Not any more, after reading this thread though.

I see I see! I might have to find one so my shift boot sits properly. Where can I find one online?

They're top blokes, they just can't do low cars 'at the moment' - all their new machinery is arriving pretty soon so that they can do low cars, might be worth giving them a call to see if its arrived. These guys will be the only place I take my car once their new equipment has arrived

Oh good to hear! Might give them a call up soon then. Out of curiosity, did they refund you the money you paid for the initial alignment after they couldn't get it right the second time?

I didn't make it aware to them that they didn't get it right, I'm sure they would have done something about it though in their defense.

Sweet dude thanks for the image. I ordered a 200cel one
I dunno if its just me, but everytime I look at the first picture of your cat it reminds me of a choed hahaha.
Kiddracing header is being dropped off on Thursday at my place, and Cat should be arriving on the same day too hopefully and if all deliveries are on time, will be on my car on Friday

                      YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!

How much do flanges usually cost at a shop?

No problems, i thought you were the guy asking me about this on Ozhonda a while ago but that was someone else Not sure how much new flanges cost, easier to cut and weld in the supplied test pipe, just make sure when they cut and weld the pipe that the exhaust Bpipe doesnt hang too low.

This header is bar none the best bang for buck no frills piece out there, proven by my recent Dyno tuning between my car and a similar car with a Toda piece. Hope it all goes well.

Good advice about the b-pipe right there! I'll make sure the mech knows what he's doing and ask about this.
You've made me super excited about it with your dyno comment! I wants it noow!!!

hehe, don't get me wrong, you will see gains with this header (i went from 118-122 by adding this header and catback) BUT these parts will only really shine with a proper tune My car is a little beast now after my tune last week!!

Cool man, I'm still very excite!!! After the header and cat goes in the CAI will be flowing pretty closely along with engine mounts, rear sway bar and other goodies, will feel and sound like a different car I'm hoping.
A tune will definitely be in the books, but not anytime this year due to limited funds. My current goal (although changes all the time) will to finish off the I/H/E, then once I save up enough money do the IMG, Intake Manifold and tune. If more funds are available I'll throw in cams, springs and retainers too, but thats pending more research.

Can anyone suggest no frills cams? I've seen a heap of skunk2 and brian crower cams on ebay for under $1G with springs, I can't justify spending $2G for Toda.
