      Hey guys,
I own a DC2R with a wing, I like it with a wing, I think it's enough now DC2R and Pl@ything, as you guys have reinforced your views twice now, I think it's going a little far.

Thanks for the input khanguskhan. Duly noted. Will now bow to your significant wisdom.

Thanks Kevsy - it's the only new car I've ever bought and probably will be the last, unless I write it off or it gets stolen. I actually test drove a red one that was the dealer's demonstrator and when I was asked what colour I wanted - I just pointed to the Championship White one that was already there in the showroom. Still think it's the best colour, even though it's the most common. The problem with the wing was that it was 'all' I could see in the rear view mirror and so it had to go. If I was shorter, I'd probably be able to see under it, but being 186cm tall - it was a nuisance. I'll have to try to find yours on here. July 2000 hey - I guess you just missed out on the 'Limited Edition' model? I certainly did!

when i bought it the salesmen told me it was a limited edition version , "couldnt deal on price " but maybe that was just in reference to the badge under the hand brake. white was my second choice just couldnt handle white wheels on white car, always thought white car should have got gun metal wheels and red car get the white wheels. looks better with the aerial gone too might have to do that with mine.

Buy lowered seat rails for the driver's side.. makes a good difference in terms of feel and it might fix that issue of looking pass the wing

edit: + give you more headroom

i can see where your coming from..ive learnt to adjust to it.

Im about 188cm but i can see fine. My only issue is that i cant heel + toe or even shift up or down fast without my kjnees hitting the steering wheel.

Lower rails should def fix up both issues.

You'll know it's a 'Limited Edition' model if you got air-conditioning, metal Rx foot pedals and rest, floor mats and rear window film all thrown in as no-cost extras over the standard model. According to www.integratyper.org - the Limited Edition model was offered in Australia between August and December 2000. I had to pay for all of these on top of the base price and it ended up costing me $47 030, but that also included keyless entry with alarm, full window tinting, cruise control, paint and fabric protection and all on-road costs including dealer delivery. Alas - I never got the metal Rx pedals and I don't think they are available anymore. I bought a set of Mugen metal pedals instead and they look better than the rubber pads that came with the car originally. If I got the chance though - I'd still like a set of Rx pedals, if they became available.

BTW - what colour is your car Kevsy? I couldn't find it anywhere on this forum. I actually like the white painted wheels with the white car, but I have to be careful when parking, because gutter-rash makes painted rims look very secondhand in an instant. I actually think the white wheels would have looked better on every colour the ITR came out with. I'm not really a fan of dark-coloured rims period. I like contrast between the wheels and tyres. Lighter rims photograph better as well. Dark rims lose all definition in photos - particularly in low-light conditions. Why spend big money on dark-coloured aftermarket rims if you cannot see them I say?

The aerial is gone because the head unit and speakers are gone. This saved quite a bit of weight. If you need the radio in your car however, you might consider replacing the ITR aerial for the S2000 model. It's a cinch to fit and is a lot more aerodynamic. I've actually seen some guys drag-racing with their radios on. If only they knew!!!!

I've recently bought a set of genuine JDM 98 spec 16 inch rims from an auction site in Japan. I've always thought that they looked a lot better than the 15 inch rims that all the foreign markets got. I'm just a bit worried about clearances though and haven't put them on yet because I've got a set of Bridgestone RE-11 tyres still to put on my 15 inch wheels before I contemplate the 16 inch wheel experiment. Has anyone else on this forum successfully installed the JDM wheels without the need for expensive suspension modifications?

Thanks for the tip Flex. Have you got any particular brand preference? I'm prepared to pay for a set of good quality ones, but would obviously prefer a lighter set if possible.

Yes - hopefully so!! The steering wheel is height adjustable, but I prefer it to be as low as possible as well. The reality is that the seat just doesn't quite go back far enough. When you get the new seat rails - try to get a set that gives you a little bit more adjustment backwards as well. The only problem then is that it affects your ability to adjust your side mirrors out far enough to see traffic either side of the car. I've always had these set to their maximum and would prefer them to go out even further. Unfortunately, the whole car was designed for a Japanese gentleman who on average, is quite a bit shorter than you or I.
