vision make low seat rails which the standard recaro's bolt onto, unsure if they still produce them though..Originally posted by NH-O View PostThanks for the tip Flex.
Have you got any particular brand preference? I'm prepared to pay for a set of good quality ones, but would obviously prefer a lighter set if possible.

I use Vision and they're definitely lighter.Originally posted by NH-O View PostThanks for the tip Flex.

Makes heel/toe easier as well in my experience.. and feels so good sitting lower in the car

This reminds me of when I test drove the ITR and the 200SX. After getting out of the 200SX and into the ITR - it felt like the ITR's seat was on stilts.Originally posted by felixR View PostI use Vision and they're definitely lighter.

The Vision seat rail option sounds like a really good call. Thanks for the tip Flex.

Nice to hear from you Mark. Thanks for being the first to tip me off about the 'Vision' seat rails. I only hope I can afford a set now, as I've had a bit of a look since you recommended them and they're not cheap!!!Originally posted by markR View Postvision make low seat rails which the standard recaro's bolt onto, unsure if they still produce them though..

I had a look at some 'Bride RO Type' Seat Rails that have a maximum drop of 30mm. I found these at www.jdmconcept.com.au and this model seems to be perfectly suited to the SR3 Recaros that come with the car. The other advantage with these is that I can have a set for both sides of the car. Can anyone tell me what they think of these as the Vision seat rails seem difficult to source these days?

I have an Kansai Service (Formerly known as HKS Kansai) seat rail for my Integra, I got it in preference to the Vision because the slider itself is much more sturdy and locks both sides. I have sat in cars with the vision rails and found there to be a bit of rotational play in the rail, ie. you can rotate the whole seat around a vertical axis a bit. I am unsure if the Bride rails are the same, or if the Kansai rail for DC2 is as good as the DC5 one, but it is another option to consider. It does only lower the seat 20mm though unfortunately.

Thanks for the suggestion - it's interesting that you also think that the Vision seat rails are a little flimsy. I also came across this opinion in some other forums I visited during my search for a good set. I'll have a look at the Kansai rails as I expect the quality to be the same for the DC2 as it is for the DC5. I was kind of hoping for a little bit more of a drop though, because of my rear vision issues with the ITR wing in place. I'd prefer 50mm, but that might be difficult to achieve, unless I get the Visions.Originally posted by ChargeR View PostI have an Kansai Service (Formerly known as HKS Kansai) seat rail for my Integra, I got it in preference to the Vision because the slider itself is much more sturdy and locks both sides. Actually - the 15 inch rims have never been off of the car, as I've come to appreciate that the smaller lighter rims are better for overall performance. I still have the OEM 16 inch wheels in pristine condition sitting in storage, but I've never fitted any tyres on them. I'm still rolling on the Bridgestone RE-11 tyres that I purchased back in 2011. They've managed to last 17,000km, but I'm about to replace them with a set of Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R tyres of the same size (i.e. 195/55/R15) that are also currently in storage.Originally posted by caneye View PostYou got the 15s back on?Last edited by NH-O; 03-04-14, 05:22 PM.
