This is something I prepared from my Facebook event one. Please do contribute and give ideas.
* Activities *
Since we are heading to Byron Bay, there is a beach ... this still needs to be planned out but I would like to have some activites that doesnt involve our cars being used. Here is what I had in mind:
1. Swimming at the Beach
2. Ball/Sport Games
3. ...
* Housekeeping *
Since we will be doing a 3hr driving session, we need everyone fit for this and goes the same for the cars. I would not like to have anyone to get any issues or accidents! We have had an accident before on our very first ClubITR meet and yeah, you guys get the point. Here are some things you should check over:
1. Full tank of fuel (there wont be many places to fuel up, do it at Yatala BP Station) (I will have a spare 10L jerry can of fuel just incase we do have issues)
2. Check over all car fluids (coolant, oils, brakes, etc)
3. Tyre pressures and wheel nuts
4. Bring water/drinks to keep in car
For driving on the roads, be sensible ... yes we will be doing some high speed runs through Mt Gipps and etc so keep a safe distance just incase something does happen and there is time to avoid another accident or etc. Really, I know I can rely on my ClubITR people but there will be other people I do not know that will be joining us (friend invites) so they need to know and understand.
Lunch will be a pub lunch that will be organised. I will be making a booking at a pub down Byron on Thursday before the event for approximately 25 people. Hopefully we get this kind of numbers on the day.
I was keen to get some sponsors for this one, but I had realised it would have been very difficult since this NSW guys have already been through it all and Felix being the mod having the ability to do that (great work Felix). Though this is something for another time and alot of thought will go through.
So it's only 1 week away, I will get that map up tonight! PROMISE ... just way too busy.

Start Point : Yatala
1. On to Stanmore Rd through to Beaudesert-Benleigh Rd towards Tamborine.
2. Keep staying on Beaudesert-Benleigh Rd till reach Beaudesert
3. Turn onto the Mt Lindsay Hwy and drive towards Rathdowney
4. Turn into Running Creek Rd and this will take us through the Borders Ranges (It is a very twisty road)
5. Will then reach Summerland Way, which we will head to Casino
6. From Casino we will now head towards Byron Bay through Bruxner Hwy
7. Get off Bryxner Hwy on to the Pacific Hwy to Byron Bay
This is the planned map I have proposed. There maybe changes on the day depends if the people say this and that might not be good, as I never been on these roads before. But according from the BMW Club, they say they are very awesome roards.

I can provide some insight on some of those roads.
Running Creek Road - Lions Road should definitely not be missed. It is an absolutely awesome run through there and very scenic. People should however be aware these are very much country roads. There are some unkept sections where stone chips may be an issue, particularly if people don't keep a reasonable distance from each other. There shouldn't be an issue for people with low cars - mine is reasonably low and was pretty much fine over the old bridges and road imperfections.
I have also done Summerland Way on the way to Kyogle Road and up to Uki. This was an awesome, higher speed sweeping sort of drive. I don't remember the Summerland Way part of it specifically but I'm sure it was great like the rest of it.

Primary location is now at Yatala BP. Thanks Rhys for the input, both are good roads. On the day we shall decide. No harm changing it around a little. I have planned to do our lunch at Beach Hotel in Byron. I'll be making a reservation under ClubITR for 25 people. I do not know how many people there will be, but we will get a spot reserved for the day. Thanks

Sorry boys, I have been very very busy with work and it's just killing me. I had supposed to have had pics up last week but ended up working double shifts and long hours during the week. There had been alot of crazy action during the day and cruise to byron was pretty good beside all the action and dramas. I will post up a new thread for the pictures right now and start uploading and moving pictures into them. Sorry took so long but yeah can't do much about it because of my busy schedule. Thanks guys
