    I did read the above......

Just wondering why it wasn't thought about to consider those people that wouldn't attend day 1.

Last year was about $165 for the trackday. so $65 bucks for a 'byp dyno day' that i wouldn't go too seems a bit of a waste. The cost of this weekend does add up when you think about travel, food, accomodation, licence, car preperation, fuel etc.

Timmy B, cost is structured this way so it will encourage competitors to make it to day 1. Last year cost was $175. Track hire has increase from last year and with day 1 activities im sure $230 is more than fair. If we get sponsors on board this year, we might have some money left in the piggy bank to make it cheaper next year. All we got was prizes not financial backing

The dyno idea is a good chance to check over the condition of their of their engines. Lets just we don't want to waste an hr or two of track time cleaning up someones mess. Look if people don't want to put it on the dyno, then its all cool

Your right cost does add up for a trackday, but this event doesnt make it any different if you travel down for a normal trackday.

10 extra competitors this year however. Surely that alone would have made some things finacialy easier.

You can pick up a helmet starting around the $100 mark. In regards to clothes, long sleeve & pants, enclosed footwear will see you thru.

Fire extinguisher is a must. best to mount it on the tunnel on the passengers side or in front of the passengers seat

I don't think a fire extinguisher is compulsory at Wakefield.

As an aside perhaps benny, I think interstate drivers should be given an exception to fees associated with Day 1 as it may be unreasonable to expect them to attend both days and endure 15-20 hours of driving on top.
