Hey guys,
I have searched and found articles which talk about wheel bearing, but I've got a question about it that I didn't find in the other threads...
An indication that the 'whirring' noise might be wheel bearing is fine... but how can you really tell that it is the wheel bearing without pulling off the wheel and taking it all apart? I'm pretty sure my brake pads are fine as every service I have, they check it at Hanny's and don't mention anything.
I went to get a pink slip done today and the guy told me after doing the brake test drive that my front driver's wheel bearing needs replacing... how did he know that? He did mention when he turns left, the car veers left a lot, and when I drive the car does veer left a bit, even after an alignment. Is this the indication that it is the wheel bearing?
So... question two... how much is it for a wheel bearing, where can I buy one, can I get any brand or should I get OEM, and who can do it? I usually get Hanny's to service my car...
