Ok i find this very weird so i thought i might get the opinion of some of you guys.
I drive a 01 Integra Type R DC2.
I was giving my car a little stab just before and realised that it revved past its fuel cut which is usually 8600rpm.
Now i this is my second 01 DC2R and my first one always fuel cut at 8600rpm. Tonight with my new one i revved it all the way to 9000rpm and then it fuel cut!
I tried it twice in 1st gear slowly building up the RPM's and it happened both times.
I know for a fact that this is not normal.
I have come up to two conclusions.
- The ECU is faulty
- There is an aftermaket chip or ECU already installed (though the hard thing to believe about this is that a middle aged lady used to own it before me and she was the first and only owner.)
Does anyone else know why this might be happening because im bewildered.
Sure enough it is cool to rev to 9000rpm but im sure its not good for the engine or am i wrong?
Please Discuss.
