Can somebody enlighten me? What is DBA XXXX? Cheap rotors are no worse than even Brembo blanks. What makes DBA more superior to your standard disc rotor?

where has everyone brought their discs from? i want the 4000 series DBA fronts... im on the north shore

Autobarn stock them but I'm not sure if they're the cheapest or not

The highest range DBA rotor for a dc2 integra is the 4000 series.
It features quote "Thermal Stability Profiling for improved heat handling and Thermo-Graphic paint markings for effective heat monitoring. The 4000 slotted has a unique 6x6 Wiper Slot design for extreme stopping power on road and track".

Stock Honda rotors are ridiculously priced in Australia, so after my rotors had bad hotspots on them after a track day, which machining the surface of the rotor would not fix, I decided to try the DBA's.

They seem to stand up better to harder pad's such as the ferodo's.

DBA was the first brake company to introduce the heat seasoning process “TSP” and temperature monitoring system across the whole performance (or sport disc) range to ensure optimum warp free performance.

DBA4000 and above are heat treated... Brembo blanks are not?

Mike B, you gotta understand the Aussie market, we can't go and pick up cheap brembo rotors.... unless you want to start exporting them for us!

We don't have the same aftermarket support as the US, and our prices in direct comparison for some things are up to 5 times as much, but usually about twice as much and with more limited choice.

It is nice to buy stuff direct from the US but freight can be a killer and often shops and people don't want to ship overseas.

I apologize. No offense was meant. You can just say that I am ignorant to your market. Here in the US, alot of us use just stock rotors or "cheapy" rotors. They are offered as low as 23.89 (Australian)/piece and of course they are just blank rotors.

Do you have automotive stores out there like we have here i.e. Pepboys, Autozone, Advance parts? Very rarely do people upgrade to cross drilled or slotted rotors. Some people have even upgraded to Stoptech blank rotors to find no brake performance.

I dont mind helping any one of you out. Just let me know if you are interested.
