On the good side, when going hard it used to provide instant grip and response when changing gears, its much more aggressive over stock.

I'm keeping the ORC flywheel and going for a exedy sports organic.
    Chuck,
Are you sure you can interchange the flywheel and clutch on an ORC as you have just suggested? Let us know your findings and yes it is quite weird you found yours heavier!

how do you plan on doing that?

i though the clutch plate is unique to orc?

It's coming apart at the moment so I guess we will find out. Possibly just get a Exedy flywheel if the Exedy clutch doesn't match ORC, really want it be done by this Thursday...

I didn't want to get a replacement ORC disc as I haven't been that happy with the ORC. Maybe I got a dud or maybe it wasn't installed propery, initally I was happy but I have never been able to get the car into 1st, 2nd or reverse when cold, or easily when warm, and it has never liked high rpm 1-2, 2-3 shifts, ie I have to change slower than stock when changing above 7500rpm and often 2-3 would misshift. My 3rd gear syncro grinds now above 7500rpm. Don't have any MC or engine mount issues either.

i just installed my ORC clutch today... and guess wat... stalled the first time.... LOL... wanted to test the grip of it and damn... it bite hard and no room for mistake... so stalled...

it felt so weird driving it... friction point is minimal... and the pedal feel is abit heavier then stock... like the s2k pedal feel...

funny thing is...when i down shifted from 4th to 3rd... i let go my clutch pedal really slowly... trying to get use to the friction point... and then... the car began to tremble... seems like the clutch is grabbing and slipping n grabbing n slipping... hmmmm... but when i let the clutch pedal go normally (not fast nor slow) its ok... also sounds like bov when i change gear.. LOL.. very quiet tho... u have to turn off the music and listen to it carefully...

for smooth take off... i had to rev the machine to 3000rpm before it takes off smoothly... i tried revving it at 2000rpm and it kinda hop abit... im just not used to it yet...

but at the moment... im loving it... its definitely gonna be a challenge to get used to it as i hardly drive my car around... (on holiday!) the clutch is awesome... it grabs like anything and the pedal feel is just alright...

ill give another review in about 2 weeks or so...

I can take off smoothly just like a normal stock clutch, you will get used to it eventually. Parking your car is a pain in the ass.

i dont see the point of an aftermarket clutch.. oem clutch grabs fine.. having a clutch that grabs harder than stock puts more stress on your transmission..

                ???

If you have enough revs, it won't do that.

Hey John, I've driven ORC super single with <brand> lightened fly and as opposed to oem fly and nearly dead oem clutch, it's heavier...but it's not hard for daily driving and you've seen my skinny ass legs...hahaha even i can handle it! so if everyone has no excuse that the ORC is hard !! HEHEHE

im having a very hard time driving the car!!! im not too sure of the "correct" way to drive it... kinda paranoid about riding the clutch... but it seems like im releasing the clutch abit too fast as the rev tends to drop dramatically without giving me the time to make some rev adjustments...

Maybe up your idle rpm higher?

Update for ORC 309 owners - Adrian from Toda can get a renewal kit and I have asked for pricing to pass on here.

I have decided to go for the Toda dynamically balanced organic clutch and flywheel combo. Will update once it's installed, does anybody else have this? I couldn't get the Exedy clutch/flwheel in time for EC.
