also, anyone used thew cusco RS 1.5way lsd? they seem to be quite popular with the japanese tuners. and what about the mugen lsd? it seems to be adjustable between 1.5- and 2- way? wouldn't a 2-way cause more understeer?

no - it is just carbon coated isnt it - not *made* of carbon!

When I reached 100k my stock clutch was still fine also, but my input shaft bearing gave way soon after and I changed my clutch+fly then while I had the gearbox out.

I got the Toda Hi Power Single... which is apparently equivalent to the Exedy Hyper Single?

I really like it. I was actually going to get the ORC kit, but after mixed feedback from people I wasn't sure. But the Toda (my one) is good for me....mostly daily/track a couple times a year. It's not heavy, but it grabs hard. I'm actually glad I picked it over the ORC.

But there's heaps of options out in the market for clutch+fly kits, just do some searching on different forums and ask around.

&.... I don't know anything about LSD. It's a bit hardcore for my daily city crawl and once a blue moon track day.

Norma, can you tell me what negative feedbacks you have heard from the ORC single clutch and fly because I'm about to buy it and I'm curious of what they are. Also, how is it better than the ORC. Thanks

            Hey Richy...

uhh.. Mixed feedback. For the most part people usually liked the ORC, but a few people thought it was a awful hassle to drive daily in....and just told me not to get it based on that.

I don't think my clutch kit is BETTER than the ORC, but I remember when I tried to drive someone's car with the ORC and I found it harder to drive, so in that repect I'm glad I picked mine over the ORC.

You don't have too much to worry about. I've heard great things about it.... just, if in doubt, try and find someone who's willing to let you try it out on their car, and it will help alot.

anybody had experience with the spoon fly ?

which u think would be better - 4.2kg spoon, or 4.1 toda
i know toda is an awesome brand, i would prolly prefer spoon just coz i like the spoon name more .. :S haha

                how heavy is stock ?

I am thinking about the ORC clutch kit too. Anyone have experience between ceramic clutch with spoon flywheel and ORC clutch kit?

                    Driven a DC2R with exedy hyper-single.
Just a smidge heavier than stock.
                    Very daily drive-able clutch.

In that case, he needs to be more specific.

How heavy is the pedal? When driving off in first gear, how many revs do you need to give it for a smooth take off? I'm still trying to decide whether to upgrade, and if I do whether to go ORC or Toda Hi Power.

Thanks for that Norma, I'll make my decision in the next few weeks. Can you PM me the price that you got the Toda Hi power for please.

What norma has said it's true about the ORC clutch kit. Every single person I know who has driven my car with the clutch would stall at least once (including me when I first got it )
